Thanks. I just want to shake them and say 'If I can do this, you can.' I have multiple chronic pain conditions. I have a very limited budget. Hell, I follow two special diets for the medical conditions (well, I follow my low sodium one religiously, I flirt with the anti-inflammatory diet because finding actual information…

You forget to take your cane to run over to the pharmacy and not only keep up with your 11 year old, your knees don't kill when you get home. First time in a year I haven't absolutely needed my cane to leave the house. I was actually walking faster than my son a couple of times even. Normally, I have to tell him to slow…

I want to agree with you, I really do. I loathe trolls and rudeness in general. But after thread after thread and doing minimal research, all I ever find out about ALL of these suppliments is that they do nothing or mess up your metabolism. Reason isn't working on people, so maybe sarcasm is the way to go. :/

The more food you eat, the higher your sodium level is. There's no getting around it, even if you eat mostly whole. As people above me said, unless you actually have a heart condition or HBP (like me), there's no reason to stress over your sodium level. The healthy recommendation is 2300mg, but as long as you don't go…

How are you only eating 100 mg of sodium a day? A glass of milk has more sodium than that. I think you need to recheck your diary.

*reads about it* Low carb, high protein diet. Because that's a new idea. Nothing revolutionary here.

Boobs went first (which I am not sorry about, it helped with the back pain), then my legs (I have ANKLES! I've never had ankles. They're kind of nice...) and finally everywhere else is losing at the same rate. Overall, pretty happy with the weight coming off and at the pace it's coming off.

I do something every day, even if it's just biking for 10 minutes and 10 minutes gentle yoga. But like the gent above me, I do it for health reason. Fibromyalgia likes light, low impact exercise. Every day. I do something every day and I am in less pain and have more energy. I like the way this feels. But working out 2…

1. Giving away a ton of perfectly good food because it is too high in sodium for me. 2. Having to take two buses to grocery shop for good, cheap food I can eat. (Because getting out more and getting some sunshine (okay, Seattle sunshine probably doesn't qualify) is so bad for me. ;p) 3. I started a low sodium cooking blog.…

This is me. I don't snack in the morning, but after lunch until bedtime, I eat little bits between meals. It all adds up the same.

You had a routine? Well, get back to it. You cannot fail if you don't give up. I know it seems frustrating and scary, but the only way to get back on the wagon is to go back to everything you were doing. You know it made you feel good and it will make you feel good again. Especially after your troubles.

I take an anti-depressant to sleep. With fibromyalgia, comes insomnia. It's actually better than taking a sleeping medicine, which generally just knock you out for hours. Truth is, lack of sleep is one of the WORST things for your body and nobody should 'take' poor sleep to avoid possible side effects that as someone…

First of all, you're not even eating your BMR, which is 1467 calories per day. That's just not good. That's the amount of calories you need to lay in bed all day and live. Especially doing intensive cardio like that, you're basically burning up everything you eat. Second of all, your BMI is 19. Which is the middle ground…

Just today. A friend from Scotland sent me and the kiddo a care package from the UK. Mostly candies. Yummy British candies. I grazed on a little, but I don't feel obligated to eat all of it. I will graze on what the child doesn't eat for weeks and therefore, always have a little treat when I feel like one. Good for you on…

My scale did the same thing. It's in the closet now and there it will stay. I get weighed at the doctor's office once a month, which is good enough for me. Like people said above me, get a tape measure and a fat caliper and forget a scale. They're cheaper too.

That is a bunch of BS, says the fibromyalgia sufferer. Pain is your body's way of smacking you across the face and saying 'YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG!' Especially if it gets worse as you continue your activity. Take a rest day. I use yoga as my warm up before I do my cycling, which makes my less sore from exercise. Also the…

Low sodium diet is 1500mgs of sodium per day. Track all your food, look at labels. I wasn't quite as bad as you are, but it has really helped me. After 85 days of eating 1500mg to 1800mg of sodium a day, I just clocked in yesterday with a BP of 115/75 down from 135/90 on two BP meds. You can do it. Watch out for hidden…

I use mine for everything. I have almost done away with measuring cups, since my digital scale measures everything. A scale is the best weight loss tool you can have in your kitchen.

First of all, you shouldn't try to lose more than one pound a week. Faster than that, unless you are really obese like me, is dangerous and can be bad for your health. Secondly, when you signed up, did you go through the settings? If not, do so. It will give you a recommendation. There's your baseline. There are fancy…

The body only needs 500mgs of sodium per day to function. The ADA recommendation is actually no more than 2300 mg a day, unless you're over 51, African American or have high blood pressure. Then the max is 1500mg. I have done way too much research because of HBP.
-
I have seen a ton of people who have tickers that say they have lost that and more. It is possible. I myself am looking at losing about as much as you. My first goal is down to 200lbs. Then I'll worry about tackling the rest. It's less daunting that way.
-
So that negates my whole argument. Weak. My apologies to the OP, I meant no offense. I generally don't check people's account and in this case, I hardly see how it matters.

Artificial sweetners and straight up sugar in moderate amounts make my stomach hate me and my fibro flare. High fructose corn syrup is my bane. Anything with 'natural fruit flavors' generally means 'orange concentrate' and I'm allergic to citrus. That's pretty much it.

Which is why you posted your thread title in all caps. It was sure to attract the most amount of people who want to disagree with you because you were shouting. Six pages of attention. Well done.

Okay, to the naysayers nitpicking about one damned meal, I need to go find my eyes because I rolled them too hard reading your self righteous drivel. Do us all a favor and get over yourselves. You are not judge and jury of how other people eat and just because this woman was honest doesn't mean you need to get up on you…

I log them, but I don't eat them back. I aim for my calorie goal. But I am extremely obese and my body can handle a larger deficit without risking starvation mode. As I lose, I am sure this will change, but I see the exercise calories as my safety net. I don't usually use them, but they're there if I need them.

This should be enough right here. Don't take the stuff.

Ouch. You have yourself quite a dilemma. My son is special needs. He is not on the spectrum, but has developmental and learning disorders. I'd say the fact you're aware of the problem is a good first start. This is one I'd talk to a specialist about. A therapist may be able to help you find what motivates you. In your…

Why? Why is it so important? You can fluctuate in water weight 5lbs in a day. That number is meaningless. Don't think about it. Don't even step on the scale before you leave. Keep doing things the way you are and be proud of yourself for that.
