I have not tried Insanity, but I love Jillian Michaels DVD's....they are a good total body workout, cheap and you don't need equipment for most of them...good luck

I am totally addicted to shoes...I have about 70 pairs.....most never worn!....the last pair I bough was this weekend at Naturalizer and they are so awesome....nice heal, the colour is a cross between orange and red...really retro looking..peep toe!

a weight fluctuation of 1-2 pounds does not reflect a weight gain in "fat"....probably just water retention or maybe you need to go to the bathroom or that time of the month is coming....don't worry about it....just keep doing the right thing

I agree with all these answers and just want to add that you will have a really hard time to build and maintain muscle at 1200 cal per day!

i don't know anything about swimming...but a big factor into how much you will burn is based on your current weight so none of us would be able to answer that. Maybe you could borrow someone's underwater heart rate monitor, adjust it to your settings and then you would have an idea. I do the 30 day shred and really enjoy…

I box and have a HRM with chest strap. I put the wrist strap around the shoulder part of my tank top....don't trust it to work proper under the glove.

That sounds great...but I don't want to get all sweaty at work by doing 200 jumping jacks several times a day and I wouldn't want to traumatize my coworker by jumping with no sports bra on!!!!...lol......but I do try to do some squats at my desk throughout the day.

I usually do oatmeal in the microwave at work and put either fruit or yogurt in it. Your Dr. is right you need to eat in the morning to wake that metabolism up! You have to watch those bars and shakes because a lot of them are high in sugar.
