You probably are, but I have to ask.... are you washing the strap after every use? Make sure you are, and if you are, make sure you're rinsing it thoroughly. Both not washing it or not rinsing it well enough can cause a rash. Also to the poster with sensitive skin: my husband has sensative skin and eczema and he doesn't…

No. Change your activity level. Your daily activity level is separate and different than exercise.

I just walked in there like I owned the joint. I was prepared though. I have a notebook (I still use) with my workout in it, and did my research on proper form on bodybuilding.com. They even have videos. Then I got with a friend for a workout routine plan. I still use a notebook to write my weights down so each week I know…

Try a different brand. My favorite is Batiste. I was about to stop using them because I had tried 4 different brands and was tired of wasting my money because my scalp would feel itchy too. But then I finally tried Batiste and it's awesome. On the days I don't wash it I don't do anything to my hair other than bush it…

I have a friend that's lost 40 pounds doing Zumba 3x a week and stationary bike 2x a week. She's in her 50's and that's all she's done beside "watching" what she eats.

You won't bulk up - lift heavy.

You don't have to go to the gym to get in shape or lose weight, especially if when you go it isn't productive. Looks like you're far more productive outside the gym. I go to the gym as well as workout at home and run on the street (I HATE the treadmill). In the summer when it's hot I run either early in the day or later at…

48 hours between training muscle groups when lifting to allow them to heal. For example if you do arms today don't do them again until the 3rd day from now. If you're doing full body workouts with body weight or very light weights you may be able to do them every day as long as you change what you're focus is on. Generic…

Yes it's normal for you to be sore if you're doing Insanity every day. When I did it I was sore throughout the program, depending on how much I "put out" during the workout. Make sure you stretch like you're supposed to, eat and hydrate and you'll be okay.

I'm not sure what intense exercise means for you... weight lifting, cardio, full body workouts daily, Insanity, P90X, etc? If you're weight lifting you should wait 48 hours between working the same muscle group. If you're doing cardio, insanity, etc then it's normal for you to be sore every day. Especially if you're not…

Go with the attitude that you're going to have fun. If you mess up laugh and keep moving. The whole point of classes like that are to get you moving and burning calories while having a good time. It makes the time go by fast and you're more likely to keep going. Just get in the back and have fun. I say get in the back but…

I use Splenda.

Before. Protein after. Then about an hour later a snack with carbs.

Strength training. I do a 3 day split: Day 1 - chest, tri's, shoulders Day 2 - Legs Day 3 - Bi's and back It works for me. I've been doing this split with cardio for 3 months and have been very pleased with my results.

Put them under your feet and bend your elbow, pulling up for biceps. Keep your arm straight and pull in front of you for shoulders. Put them under your butt (or feet) and pull to the side for shoulders. There are a lot of ways to use them - they're just like using a cable machine at a gym. Put it under or around something…

What are your goals? I do weight training on the days I don't do cardio with one day a week as a rest day.

You don't have to eat them back if you don't want to. Go by how you feel. Some people do - some people don't. It all depends on your energy level and how you feel.

Unless I wear my HR Monitor I account an average of 100 calories per 10 minutes on a stationary bike for myself. This is just from experience and wearing a HMR for months regularly. Though I never trust anything other than my HRM, since you aren't using one, go by the lower number to be safe in you're eating your calories…

This is the reasoning behind it. MFP already takes into account how many calories you burn a day without exercise. When you log exercise you're logging what you've done in addition to.

Can you do squats and lunges with just your body weight? If not you can use a resistance band. Sit in a chair, put the band around the bottom of one foot. Put your leg out in front of you and bend and extend your leg with the resistance. You can start with very light resistance then buy stronger bands as you get stronger.

Enter the calories burned as it is in addition to your normal calorie burn.

Insanity: Most of the first 3 weeks are 40-ish minutes. As you advance in the program some are longer or are two workouts that you can split up if you don't have time all at once. P90X average about 50 minutes and they do have some that are an hour and a half - the yoga and stretching ones mainly. Insanity and P90X are…

No. Once a week, the same time of day, the same day of the week.

I've done both and was able to stick with Insanity because, honestly, it was just more fun. With P90X I was watching the clock thinking crap I wish this would be over soon. Insanity was a more difficult workout but it went by quicker for me. Also you don't need any equipment with Insanity but you do with P90X. Good luck!…

I've biked with my HRM on and the bike is always under what my HRM says I've burned.

It is. I wouldn't count it as exercise but would change my activity level.
