  • Maybe buy some new scales?...
  • My plateau lasted three weeks and to get out of it I mixed up my exercise and did one day on and one day off then two days on then two days off then three days on then three days off and repeat. I also ate all my exercise cals on those days instead of just half of them. The key is to mix it up for a few weeks and you…
  • I don't mind telling, I'm proud of what I've achieved. I find it easier to reveal on here hence it forms part of my signature. In real life not many people ask as I think most ppl realise it's a but taboo but after posting my before and after on fbook when I hit my pre pregnancy weight a post partum friend of mine who is…
  • Ha! we are the same height and I just typed the same thing!!!
  • To me, skinny is probably when someone has lost too much. I just want to be thinner. I think if I was below 150lbs I would be skinny as I am 5ft 9" I am currently 163lbs and a healthy BMI. I consider myself to be healthy not skinny.
  • Yes. My gym equipment actually tells me higher than MFP does. Once I had logged them on MFP a few times I think it re-adjusts and suggests a more reasonable number now. You are doing the right thing by only eating half of your exercise calories though. This is exactly why I only eat back half of mine too.
  • MFP also helped me lose my baby weight. Reading this made me remember how low I felt when I was heavier. After I gave birth I had 45lbs of weight to lose. I had never been overweight in my life and dealt with it quite badly. I was moody, tearful and really low on confidence. All that coupled with a newborn was HARD! I also…
  • Agree with above. You have to stay out of it. As a parent the last thing she will want is someone telling her how to raise her children.
  • As you know I am into week 5 of 6week 6 pack. The way not to get bored with doing it is to start off doing the modified moves then do the advanced moves and then do the advanced moves with ankle weights. Before long it is time to go up to level 2 and you repeat the process. I do 6 week 6 pack 4 or 5 times a week then gym…
  • Thanks, I am very pleased with the results it has given me. It's definitely spurred me on to invest in a few more Jillian DVDs. Jillian recommends 5 times a week so I average 4/5 times a week as I still gym twice a week.
  • She looks incredible! It's lovely that you are supporting her.
  • He has short, dark-blond hair that's slightly spiky at the front I shouldve picked a better book!
  • This also makes the hairs on the back of my neck go up! Whilst it may be an easy mistake to make, I am sure we are taught the difference when we are around 7 years old or something! LOL
  • Your plateau has lasted quite long so there is definitely something not quite right. My plateau lasted three weeks. I changed my exercise routine (did a day on, two days off, two days on, one day off etc) and upped my calories by 150 per day. I also started eating back half of my exercise calories (which I continue to do)…
  • Have a two finger bar like me. Only 107 calories!
  • I am doing 6 week 6 pack tonight. On Thursday I will have completed five weeks worth!
  • If you feel bad taking a rest day from the gym then go for a leisurely walk instead. You will still burn calories but you are allowing most of the muscles in your body to rest.
  • I am a Uk size 8 wide. Went to a specialist running shop and they analysed my walk and run. I ended up getting a mend trainer to fit my huge feet but my goodness it's made so much difference. No more knee and ankle pain and no more shin splints. I thought I was just aching after gym, didn't realise it was my trainers until…

  • I did an obscene amount of cardio (elliptical and powerwalking uphill on the treadmill) which reduced my overall fat and then when I had about a quarter of my target left to lose I focussed more on toning so lots of crunches, reverse crunches, bicycle crunches and planks. I'm also doing jillian michaels 6 week 6 pack DVD.…
  • I had the same problem areas plus my tummy after my daughter was born. The saying that you can't spot release fat is very true. I did lots of cardio (mostly powerwalking on a high incline and elliptical) at the gym for an hour five or six times a week. This got rid of my love handles and back fat. Once the fat is burned…
  • Oh I'm so glad to finally see these pictures!!! You look incredible and have such a beautiful face, can't believe it's taken u this long to post pictures. You should be so proud. You look amazing!
  • I have mild asthma so perhaps my input isn't as helpful however I found increasing the speed and incline on my treadmill every two weeks very slightly was enough to push myself. I also panicabout having an attack (I've had two at the gym) which is why I build myself up and push myself slowly and gradually. Just so long as…

  • I love west London! I used to live in Chiswick, uxbridge, wembley and Harrow so know the area well. I now live in woodside park near high barnet.
  • Hello fellow londoners! Feel free to add me for some THIN-spiration!
  • ...killed by ability to sit quietly and watch TV without having my phone in my hand constantly on MFP!!
  • MFP helped me lose my baby weight and the dreaded pouch! My daughter is 7 months old now. Good luck to you all, it can be done!
  • Thanks! Lol I didn't know till a Couple of months ago. Hard to explain so I would recommend searching for a clip on YouTube. They focus on toning the lower abs/pouch area just below your belly button. They really work!
