I'll have to try this one-i've been meaning to try quinoa. Oh She Glows is a great site: her warm bean and rstd sweet potato salad is fantastic!

I've read Chloe Neil, also. Waiting for her next one to come out. I hated that she killed him off, too. Also read Kenyon, Hamilton, Harrison, and the Sookie series. Always on the lookout for new authors. We are forming a paranormal book group at work so hoping to find new authors.

Congrats on starting your journey - it is so much easier when you have MFPals to support you along the way!! I'll send a friend request!

hello all - I'm looking into purchasing Chalean Extreme and wondereing what kinds of weights everyone uses? I have done p90x so have some 5/8/10 lb dumbbells and wondering if these will do for CX? Any suggestions will be appreciated!

I usually do my official weigh in on Fridays and check that I'm on track usually Tuesday/Wednesday. Over time you do start to see the flucuations that come with too much sodium, TOM, etc. and you realize that it's normal to be up and down during the week. I agree with the other posters that only log in when they show a…

dealing with the same thing here, so I'm interested in what everyone has to say. I'm going to try the calorie zigzagging for the next couple of weeks to see if that helps. Also, going to be more committed to my exercise as that has slacked off for the last couple of weeks. Good Luck!

So glad you're seeing results! Go shopping and enjoy yourself! I ended up giving some of my capris and shorts to people I work with so I wouldn't feel like I was throwing stuff away.

Day 2 done - Great idea to substitute something else for Jillian's cardio - I only burned 178 the first day I did it (forgot my HRM today) but worked harder today. I might throw in some plyo during the cardio and see if that helps with the burn. Definitely feeling the strengh work, though.

I started today and was surprised how tough it was - went golfing afterwards and my arms felt like jello on the way home. Looking forward to seeing results!

Hopefully it's not to late to join this challenge? I got through 2months of p90x before my schedule got crazy and I want to give this a try before starting p90again. I thinkI'll try to fit it in everyday along with some time on the treadmil. I plan on starting tomorrow!

Just finished up day 2/week 7 Plyo and my hamstrings are feeling it from legs and back on Sunday. I'm drinking my recovery drink as I log. Plyo is such a great calorie burner (burned 461 today) and it's one of my favorite workouts in p90x. I'm so glad it's getting lighter earlier here - much easier to get up at 5:30 to…

Liz - yes, chest, shoulders, & tris has a LOT of pushups - I aactually put in that dvd this morning and realizing what I was up for just switched it out for core synergistics. I hadn't done that one in a couple of weeks and enjoyed doing it again. Didn't lose any weight this week which is a bummer, but did measurements and…

Reepobob - great job on the weight loss! I don't think there's a problem with switching up the days you do the different dvds as long as you're getting all of them in during the week. I couldn't get to legs and back on Friday when I should have done it so did it today even though I should be on a rest day. Can't believe…

I ended up doing a lot of cardio on my recovery week because of the same reason. Now that I'm in the habit of getting up and working out I didn't want to go a whole week with nothing but yoga and stretching. Missed doing legs and back yesterday because of my schedule but thinking of sticking it in tomorrow instead of my…

Hey everybody, today was my kenpo day but I found a firm video at the library called "the 500 calorie workout" that I just had to try. Since it's a cardio day for me I did it this a.m. and burned 486 calories. I'm not really coordinated but kept up with most of it. At the end there was a couple of ab moves that seemed…

That's my favorite workout, too. I could do that one a couple of times a week. Today was my rest day but I ended up trying a kickboxing dvd - it had a leg workout at the end that was killer. Tomorrow I start week 6 - halfway through the 90 days. Since I switched over to the classic program I really look forward to the plyo…

Haven't posted in a while and couldn't find you guys at first! Sounds like everyone is really keeping up with the program! I'm into Week 5/Day 4 - should have done yoga x but threw in step dvd instead. Keep hearing that the yoga really shows how much your strength increases so I'll really have to try that one again soon.…

Everybody is doing great with pushing play! I'm into my first recovery week on the Lean program. Tried Plyo instead of Yoga on Tuesday and had fun with it - parts of it are actually easier for me then some of the work on core synergistics. I've got Cardio X today and then yoga is scheduled again tomorrow. So far have lost…

I'm just finishing up my third week on the lean program. Did Kenpo today and then got on my treadmill for 30 minutes. My HRM came yesterday and I wanted to see where the calories would be according to it. My HRM's were higher than what my treadmill gave me but I'm thinking that's because my heart rate was up from the…

Great Job on the marathon!! I finished legs/backs and ab ripper today. Could actually hold the wall squats until almost the end! It's really nice to see/feel improvement. Got an HRM today so I'm looking for to Kenpo tomorrow and checking my calories burned. Keep up the great work everyone!

week 3/day 3 - finished up arms and shoulders/ab ripper this morning. I may have to pick up some heavier weights for a couple of the moves! Glad to see the improvement. Tomorrow is Yoga X and I'm going to give it another try. I'm thinking I'll skip to some of the balance moves and try to keep it around an hour. Next week…

I'm into week three of p90x lean and have lost 2.5 lbs and 1" from my hips!! I'm not eating quite as many calories as recommended but eating a lot of protein and not feeling hungry or tired at all. Loving all the workouts so far but especially loving Kenpo. Tomorrow I have shoulders and arms and ab ripper. I can't do all…
