Thanks -- a good reminder!

Hi there -- this is an issue a lot of us share. I know people who struggle with their weight but can have a moderate amount of sugar. Me, not so much, although there are exceptional times when I seem to cope (like a gelato on a walking holiday). But for me, avoidance of sugar day by day is really important. If I have a…

Personally, I would probably try to forgive myself, eat a satisfying dinner, probably on the light side, and move on the next day. Hope you have a great day!

Welcome. Group support is great!

Welcome!

Don't fret too much -- this issue is shared by everyone who loses weight. The magazines just airbrush this stuff out.

How obnoxious and hard to deal with.

Great idea to log in before -- I must try it.

Hi there -- I am 5 feet and was 170 lbs a few years ago, before joining MFP. I'm now 148. The weight really does show on us short women. The good thing, though, is that smaller weight losses (like each 5 lbs) really show on us as well. Let's do this together!

Right on about weight and joint stress. I am dealing with that now too. As for the sugar cravings, they pretty much disappear when sugar is removed from the diet. Not so easy to do so take all the support you can get. Nice to meet you!

Some days it just isn't easy at all. I think accepting that life is not perfect and that you can't be perfect either really helps -- I know it helps me. Being kind to yourself, eliminating negative self-talk, can really help too. And friends -- venting with your buddies can be very helpful.

That's a rapid weight loss. While people do succeed in this, be aware that sometimes this results in two unwanted results: saggy skin (depending a bit on your age) and quick weight regain (and then some).

Yes, online support can be very motivating. It's good to know there are others facing the same challenges.

1200 takes a lot of focus and preparation. At 5 ' - 150 lbs I am aiming for that number, but aware it is on the low side and that there will be some off days because it's real life.

Friend me!

Hi there, please make me a "friend". I joined years ago but am only starting for real now. Yes, it's hard, but easier with support.
-
Yup, add me as a weight loss buddy. Sharing the journey is great motivation for me.

Hi there -- I'm happy to be a weight loss buddy. I am also of short stature, so the pounds really show. I have about 25 lbs to lose. 130 looks good to me right now!

Warm baths in epsom salts are great. However, if it's inflammation, icing is the best thing.

Hi there -- welcome!

Hi there -- welcome. I'm also short but have lost 25 lbs, half way to goal.
-
Yup, I could use a weight loss buddy too. I'm about your height and my goal is higher than yours because I am just aiming to be at the top of the healthy range. I've got 20 and change to go.

That's great news.
