I ran my first in May and learned, don't start out too fast. Run your own pace. Good Luck.

Well, I did better on the ride last night. Went almost 30 miles and avg. 17.8 MPH. My goal was 18 but some of these riders avg 20 - 22 and I'm mentally beat as they pass me and can't stay on. It is not that they are young because most of the riders in the group are in the 40’s, it is just that they are fast and have been…

I'm currently training for a 1/2 Marathon that I have signed up for December 5 in Dallas. I'm currently not following any program but have been running. Saturday was my longest so far. I didn't look at my pace and just went out and ran as far as I could. I ended up running 1hr 25 minutes which got me 7.1 miles. My plan is…

I can't do it every night because I have 2 rest days but I will hit the 7000 calories on Sunday. Count me in.

Love that song too and is the first of my rotation. My favorite ultimate push with all I have song is " Disturbed - Get Psycho ".

That is great, way to go. Isn't it an awesome feeling when you complete 100 miles. I did 1 about 12 years ago and hope to do another this year or next.

I didn't cycle too much last week. My bike is in the shop getting a tune up and should have it for a ride on Tuesday. I'm hoping to get back on track and plan on riding Tues, Thursday, and probably doing a bike rally on Saturday. Sounds like everyone has been doing great. Todd

Thanks. Just loaded the free version and will try it out. Noticed that they had $2.99 version too.

I have signed up for my first 1/2 marathon in Dec. I currently don't have any running buddies. I ran outside for as long as 60 minutes without stopping and only got 5.25 miles. It is Texas heat and humidity. I'm currently doing more cycling to keep myself in shape and run at least once on the treadmill during the week and…

Can't tell you yet but my first one will be in Dec this year. I have signed up and so far the farthest I have run is 60 minutes without walking and got a little over 6 miles on the treadmill and once outside and got 5.25 miles. I will be ready, and I have not really started running until this year. I'm sure that you can do…

I have the Garmin Forerunner 305 for running and the Garmin Edge 305 for cycling. Both have GPS for seeing how far I go and pace, have HRM chest strap, and count calories. They cost more, but I wanted the GPS to track my performance and routes to see what kind of distance I can cover.

I live in TX and stopped running so much outside because of the heat and humidity. I find cycling is easier while it is hotter. Good luck to you and will be curious on comments.

I'm a male cyclist, make sure that you have good biking shorts with a good pad they make them for women. Buy the best that you can afford, it will make a difference and last a long time. As far as soreness. Make you strech your calfs before and after the ride. If you keep it up the cycling it will get easier and not hurt…

Go to a track and see how long it take you to do a mile or 1/2 mile at the same pace you do around the yard and trail. This would give you a pretty good idea on how far and how much you are doing. mapmyride.com is good but I don't know how accurate it would be if you run around the yard

I'm currently training to do my first 1/2 marathon on Dec 5 in Dallas this year. I have signed up and commeted to doing it. You should be able to do it if you can currently jog 6 miles without walking. That is the furthest that I have run without stopping even if it was on a treadmill. I'm going to go out really early on…

That is an awesome idea. You rock.

That is great. Way to push yourself. My goal was last night to run on the treadmill for 60 minutes. I did it and ended up running 6.2 miles in that amount of time. Think that I was too tired to cry.

I have a garming and upload all my rides and runs to the garmin connect. It is great at keeping track of my training, pace, and heart rate.

My one and only 5K was the first of May and I ran it in about 31.30. I walked a little because I started with a faster pace that I should have. You can do it just start off slow and steady. Add one minute at a time for stamina and don't worry about your time. Good Luck, Todd

I'm in. I rode 68 miles last week. I didn't have a goal. I would like to at least get at least 60 miles a week. An easier way to track cycling milage is a site dailymile.com. You post workouts and it tracks milage cycling, running and other workouts. It is similar to MFP and facebook where you can post messages, comments,…
