I just started in January. I am also a junk food addict. I still eat junk food but I have cut way back. Instead of a bowl of ice cream I eat half a cup and am very satisfied. I battle with eating the fresh fruits and vegetables because I love all the stuff that is bad for me.

I will be 42 in October. I am a diabetic. In January my younger brother found out he was a diabetic. It kind of gave me that kick in the butt I needed. I really love that every part of my body is starting to shrink! Today I noticed my ankles look much smaller, I like that!

You may think it is crazy to eat a little more; but, I was told the same thing and it did help me. I don't eat all of my calories back but I do try to eat at least half of them.

I went roller skating for the first time in 25 years last January. Getting rid of another 1.5 pounds and a total of 12 inches! My MFP friends. My family is getting healthier! I get to go to church for Bible studty tonight. Most of all, the Lord loves me!

You can do it! Don't let other people try to get you down about keeping track of your food. It has helped me a lot. I noticed today one of my coworkers was even trying to help me make wise choices.

Last year I lost 7 pounds while tilling and planting my garden. I was not trying to lose weight at the time. Gardening can be hard work; all the tilling, planting, weeding, and picking. I cannot wait until my ground dries out enough to start gardening again.

I may try to step my carbs down a bit. I have noticed your sugars are really good.

This is a direct quote from a "Nutrition Guidelines for Good Health" my dietician gave me. "Include 3 - 4 servings per meal and1 -2 at planned snack times." A serving is equal to 15 grams of carbohydrates. I am also a type 2 diabetic.
