I'm always looking for people who I can support, and who are also willing to offer me some motivation! Feel free to send me a friend request:)

I recently ran into the same problem. I always felt super guilty seeing I had gone way over in sugar for the day, even though it was all natural and from fruit. So to minimize the pressure I felt to stay under the recommended sugar intake, I just altered my food diary settings, by replacing the sugar tab with a potassium…

I usually have a slice or two of Oroweat's Healthfull 10 grain bread that I like to toast (80 calories per slice) and I top it off with some organic peanut butter (180 calories for 2 tablespoons). It definitely kick starts my day and will keep me full until lunch!

I started off eating about 1700 calories a week and over time I decreased and decreased, and I guess I've just adapted to eating so few calories because it's not like I'm ever hungry in between meals, and if I do hit 1200, I've done it by forcing myself to eat when I don't really want to:/ I've been losing about 2 pounds a…

After the initial weight gain, how long do you think it will take to lose some more weight (I'm talking fat not lean body mass)?
-
Wow.. I'd actually like to thank you for scaring the crap out of me! Haha! But seriously, I feel like your post was a massive eye opener, because I hadn't really thought long term, other than wth am I to do when I eat the maintenance calories for my goal weight, and I end up gaining a ton instead? I'm immediately going to…

The problem is, when I started looking at my net calories, and eating back the calories I had burned, I ended up gaining a pound. Is it really necessary to eat back burned calories?
-
Yeah I'm really considering alternating my intake every few days just to experiment. I'm really fearful that once i reach my goal weight and start eating at a maintenance level I'll start gaining like crazy! I'm going to try to aim to eat a lot more.

Insanity is definitely one of the biggest favors I've ever done for myself. I'm halfway through month 2, and I've lost a total of 12 pounds. Let me tell you, it's gonna kick your butt! But what other way is there to get the body you've always wanted? One piece of advice I have going into it, is to make sure you are…

I'd love to support you along your weight loss journey! I'm always looking for friends to motivate, and to help motivate me. Anyone's free to add me!:)

Don't worry about what the scale says! As long as your measurements are decreasing you know for a fact that you're losing fat. I'm sure you are gaining muscle in the process. Keep it up!

I feel the best way to prevent snacking is to stop buying any foods you feel you might crave. For instance, I don't keep any chips, chocolate, or cheese in the house because I know I will end up eating it if it's there. As far as portions go, I stick to the recommended serving sizes listed on the product, and just try to…

Thanks so much for this idea! I actually just went to the store and picked up some fat free cottage cheese and plain greek yogurt. Can't wait to give this a try::smile:

Personally, I do my best to avoid situations that I know are going to be filled with temptation. Also, if I know I'm going to eat more than I should and end up feeling really guilty later, I just avoid eating it at all. My sweet tooth tends to come on at night (I REALLY crave chocolate), and if I truly MUST give in, I…

I weigh myself first thing in the morning on Friday's, and only at this time. Your weight will constantly be fluctuating throughout the week due to several different factors such as water retention and food consumption, so I feel that if you weigh yourself at the same time once a week you will get the most accurate reading.

Every single person on this website deserves a pat on the back, because we've all come to the conclusion that it's time for change, and we've decided to do something about it. That's one massive step in the right direction, and you'd be surprised to know how many people aren't willing to make a change. So congrats to all…

For my whole life I had been eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted it, and I NEVER even thought about calorie content or nutritional value. I didn't exercise much either. Then one day, out of nowhere, I realized that for so long I had been convincing myself that I looked good enough, and in my heart, I wasn't…

I feel like I can only deprive myself for so long. I usually allow myself ONE ITEM to cheat on every two weeks, but ONLY if I've lost at least 3 pounds. Other than this, I don't give in to anything because I know that if I'm good about what I eat, then I can cheat without feeling any guilt whatsoever:) I think its okay to…

I can't explain it, but I've always had this strange tendency to dip my broccoli in barbecue sauce, and to eat mustard by itself, and I'm talking by the cup!

I can definitely relate to what you're going through. I come from a family where my grandma is always making these homecooked, high calorie, super cheesy Mexican meals, and I feel guilty having to deny her when she offers me food! But in some situations, such as a loved one spending a long time preparing something for you,…

I think we're all in the same boat here! I finally admitted to myself that I had a problem when I continuously ate for no reason other than the fact that I was lonely, bored, or nervous. We just have to take it one day at a time, and realize that we are all going to make mistakes, but we just need to learn how to correct…
