Your biggest binge EVER?
Let me start off by saying, I just stopped myself as soon as I realized I was about to binge. I went over my daily goal by about 200 calories worth of Dortios, but then I realized that it didn't have to be 2000, and I had the power to choose what was more important to me: my goals, or the taste of cool ranch. That said, I…

Do YOU eat below, above, or at your BMR?
I've recently learned how unhealthy it is to eat below your BMR, but I did it anyways because I was losing weight doing so. Anyways, I was just wondering how all of you are managing to lose weight? (P.S. I'm now aiming to eat at least my BMR every day and will see if I still lose!)

TDEE-20% Do you eat back exercise calories?
I've calculated my TDEE-20% with an activity level of "Sedentary". Because my exercise calories aren't included, do I eat them back?

Chipotle
I'm a little confused about the calories here...So I asked for a side of chicken and a side of steak from Chipotle, and they gave me a cup of each with a lid. When I entered it on MFP as "chipotle chicken side" it listed it as 4 oz and 190 calories. For some reason this doesn't sound accurate to me. I just don't see how…

IIFYM: Craziest thing you've eaten?!
For those of you who believe in the concept of IIFYM, what's the craziest thing you've fit into your budget? For me, it would probably have to be a giant turkey leg from the fair consisting of 1136 calories, 54 grams of fat, and 152 grams of protein!!

TDEE-15% sedentary + exercise calories?
I was just wondering if it would be more accurate to do: -TDEE-15% set at lightly active and eating 1725 calories daily OR -TDEE-15% set at sedentary and eating 1510+ exercise calories? I'm interested to know what most of you are doing?

Could not believe what my sister did...
I really just need to get this off of my chest... About a week ago, I realized how much of a trigger food peanut butter is for me. I can't eat it in moderation, and it was causing me to eat wayyy more than I should have been. So, knowing that I'm the only one in my household who even likes peanut butter, I decided it was…

Fat lines on lower stomach:(
I'm 5'6" and I currently weigh 132 lbs. My body fat is roughly 22% and I'm pretty happy with my body...except for one thing...the lines I have on my lower stomach. My stomach is almost flat, but sort of looks like a B from the side. It indents and then goes out a little at the bottom. I'm mainly talking about one line in…

Any low sodium dinner ideas?
I had a crap ton of carbs and sodium yesterday, which led me to gain 6 lbs (water retention) and I'm trying to cut way back on my sodium intake for the next couple of days and drink lots of water in order to get back to my normal weight. Does anyone have any dinner ideas that are very low in sodium/ don't require me to use…

I gained 6 pounds in ONE DAY....
Yesterday started off great for me. But then dinner came..and that meant a carne asada burrito (which happened to fit within my macros). But I ended up drinking a crap ton of soda at the movies, and then came home and had a total binge. I'm talking peanut butter, creme filled cookie wafers, chex cereal, and cinnamon toast…

Went over goal by 800 calories...
This past week I ate very well and exercised, and was under my goal by about 100-300 calories depending on the day. Anyways, I went a little crazy on the snacking tonight, and ended up going over by 800 calories. Do the days I was under my goal sort of even out my bad eating today?

Forget about the macros?!
I've been doing really well for the past couple of weeks with my eating and exercising, and I'm currently maintaining at about 132, but would love to eventually get to around 130. For now, I'm mainly focused on measurements though! Anyways, I was wondering if one day of going over on your macros but under your calories…

How much do macros REALLY matter?
I'm always within my target for fats, protein, carbs, etc. but it's usually pretty difficult to stay within these limits every single day. Now I know there will be some days when you're over, and some when you're under, and that it's important to look at your macros on a weekly basis instead of a daily basis, but when it…

Confused about TDEE-10%?
Let's say that when calculating my TDEE, I put my activity level as "sedentary" and subtract 10%. Would I then eat back my exercise calories? Also, how about if I were to put in my real activity level, such as "moderate"....then I wouldn't eat back exercise calories, correct? I'm confused about when I eat back exercise…

Jillian Michaels?
Over the last 3 months, I've lost a total of about 23 lbs (from 154 to 131) through diet and exercise. I've done everything from Insanity videos to running to strength training, and I basically do whatever the heck I feel like doing to burn calories. However, I really want to start some sort of a program that will help me…

Going over in carbs because of VEGGIES?
I know it's more about what kind of carbs you're eating rather than how many, but I find that I'm constantly over in carbs due to the amount of vegetables I'm eating. I know this happens to a lot of people that eat fruit because they tend to go over in sugar as well. Has anybody else experienced something similar?

How long should I wait to see some results?
I was eating way too few calories for too long, and I was losing weight, but eventually I hit a plateau. So now I'm trying to eat AT LEAST my BMR and incorporate some strength training as well as cardio. Last week was the first week I started upping my calorie intake and I gained, which sort of freaked me out, but I was…

I have no idea how much I should be eating!
I know for a fact I'm not eating enough. I average about 1200 calories a day, and burn about 200-400 a day. My BMR is 1474 and my TDEE is 2274. I'm seriously afraid that if I start increasing my calories I will gain back the 20+ pounds I've lost. How much should I be eating if I only have 2 more pounds to go?

Initial weight gain after eating at BMR?
If you've been eating around 1200 calories for a month or two, and you increase your calories to AT LEAST you BMR, is it normal to gain weight at first?

Please help me! I GAINED weight
So after eating way too little calories for too long, I decided I wanted to start eating AT LEAST my BMR. I continuously lost about 2 pounds a week eating around 1200 calories for quite some time. So this week I thought I would try to eat around 1400 calories.(my BMR is 1474) So I did. And I gained half a pound. Keep in…

I GIVE UP!! I CANT DO IT!
I've done so well. I've lost 16 pounds in a little over 2 months, and I've lost 6 pounds while doing MFP for the past month. But in the past 2 days, I'm pretty sure I've ruined it all. I've eaten SO MUCH. I feel so guilty all of the time now. I couldn't even make time to work out today. I can't take the amount of pressure…

Heart Rate Monitor doesn't seem accurate...at all?
I just finished doing the Insanity Pure Cardio dvd, and for 33 minutes (I don't count the stretching), my heart rate was at 175 bpm (according to my hrm) but it says I burned about 280 calories. However when I plug my info into a calorie burn calculator it says I burned about 400 calories. I defnitely feel like I had to…

How did you maintain your weight loss?
I'm down to the final 6lbs before I hit my goal weight, and to be honest, I'm a little nervous. I eat anywhere from 1200-1500 calories per day, and I workout 6 days a week and aim to burn at least 300 calories a day. I've consistently lost 2 pounds a week, and have lost a total of 18 pounds over about two and a half…

If you consistently have a deficit can you splurge?
Let's say that every day for the past week you've burned 300 calories, but didn't eat them. So in all, you've burned 2100 calories that you haven't eaten back. If you were to have a "splurge meal'" of about 800-1000 calories would it affect your weight loss for that week? Or does it make sense that because you saved room…

I feel so ashamed...
Take a look at my diary. I am so utterly disappointed in myself. I've lost a total of 16 pounds over the last 2 months, and I feel like all of the stress and all of the pressure I've put myself under finally caught up with me, and I completely let myself go. It got to the point today where I kept eating as much as I could…

Any products similar to pb2?
I'm going to Albertsons tonight and I was really wanting to find a product like pb2 or peanut flour to use for smoothies and stuff. Unfortunately, these products aren't available at Albertsons. Do you know of any other fairly cheap, low calorie peanut butter substitutes?

On the days you don't exercise...?
Apparently, if I don't exercise, I'm expected to eat 1200 calories, according to MFP. I feel like this neither healthy nor easily manageable. Any suggestions if I seriously can't exercise?

Do you track your food on the weekends?
Once in a while, I'll have one of those days FILLED with temptations, and while I am normally very strict about what I eat and make sure to exercise a ton, I tend to give in about a couple times a month. And when I give in, I GIVE IN. But unfortunately, I end up feeling extremely guilty for a couple days afterwards, and I…

I have to eat pizza tonight?!
As great as it sounds, it's very unfortunate. I'm going out to a bowling alley tonight pretty late, and making food or not eating is NOT an option. Basically, my choices are burgers, pizza, fried chicken, french fries, corn dogs, milkshakes, and soda. So I've decided I will help myself to 2 slices of cheese pizza (which I…

I joined this group to get help...
Hello everyone! I'm a female, 5'6" and I weigh 140 pounds. My goal weight is 130 pounds by summer. Currently, I'm eating about 1100 calories a day, and I hate to admit it. I've been consistently losing 2 pounds a week by lowering my calorie intake by about 100 every week, and now I'm here. I want to start fresh, and find…
