  • London 👋 but originally from NW
  • Feel free to add me 👍 similar in that been away (for too long!) and am starting logging from tomorrow, NW raised and London based now 😊
  • Happy for anyone to add me! Just getting back on MFP as my son is now 1.5yrs and In the heaviest I’ve been :o definitely want to lose weight but then my motivation fades with tiredness, work-home stresses and I just eat...
  • Love love love this! So needed it today too, battled my binge-monster over the past few days, has been hard and managed it until today when caved. However, I've logged it all, drawn a line under it and am back on it. Totally wasn't worth it and didn't enjoy it either but is done now and moving on.
  • ^this. Just say no, anyone who doesn't try to support you or understand your goals is not a real friend.
  • Come over to the low carb group board, loads of help and ideas over here :)
  • Hey there, have a read around the boards, some people with PCOS recommend a low carb plan for losing weight. I have suspected PCOS and am trying to lose weight before we start IVF and it's been working for me to stick under 50g carbs a day. Good luck in your journey!
  • I'm currently on smoothies using different combination of berries, almond milk, cream, ground flax seed, greek yoghurt which I blend in the evening and have ready to drink in the morning :)
  • Hi there, feel free to add me :)
  • Flip26 - is going which is great! I'm almost into 'overweight' rather than 'obese' :embarassed: on the NHS weight tracker... Still sticking with low-er carb which is working and generally keeping me full. Have a wedding this weekend so will be interesting how I manage to face that challenge with food and drink!
  • One of my main motivations for losing weight is so we can go through IVF. Had my pelvic ultrasound last month where they saw cysts so stated I have some level of PCOS, was a shock really as I'm always super regular with cycles but learnt a lesson that apparently regular periods don't mean you've ovulated! So all these…
  • Yes all the above ^^ Plus it's just not sustainable in the real world where we have jobs, family etc. Also look up how many of them actually keep the weight off......
  • Part of it for me has been getting used to the fact I don't need potatoes/rice/pasta/bread to complete a meal. Now I'm starting to get my head around that and change my way of thinking it helps and I try to meal plan for the week with foods that will still hold my interest! So it wasn't really about substituting them (and…
  • Hi Margaret! I don't do low-low-carb-keto but do count my cals and carbs which I've found is real working for me. I try to stay around 1300 cals but don't worry too much if I go over, I also stick to 60-70g carbs a day max. The main benefit I've found, which I imagine in blood sugar/carb related, is I've been able to come…
  • Like others I've been there too. Have pretty much yoyo dieted all my life, have some childhood food issues which still battle with and at then end of April was the heaviest I've ever been... ever! I avoided mirrors, dressed in huge outfits to try and hide and felt awful. I started calorie counting on MFP and had a slow and…
  • Hi there, It also depends how low carb you want to go - are you going for the low-low carb keto inducing way of eating? I believe that's staying under 20g carbs a day. I started with just cal counting and am also on 1300 a day but over the last few weeks also started tracking my carbs and set my goals so my max is 90g carb…
  • Yup I have one too! I refer to it as my alter-ego 'fat-Suz' who wants to get me to eat anything and everything! I try up imagine her as how I would end up if I did actually keep eating anything and everything and it's not good! Some days she's easier to ignore, at moments of weakness it's hard and a battle to not give in…
  • Hey, feel free to add me
  • I weigh in weekly, this week's been my period so I didn't weigh in as know it won't accurately reflect where I am and period/bloating/water retention will affect my weight right now. I know I've stayed within goals this week and will check my progress next weekend at my weigh in.
  • Hello! Feel free to add me, I definitely have a good sense of humour
  • Tesco online have the mint choc chip lollies which are yummy, also Ocado have the new skinny cow caramel shortbread ice cream lollies and some new mini caramel ice cream lollies
  • Hope you're doing okay Trina, life can be really pants sometimes and throws some horrible things at us to get through. I've been where you are with an unwell relative and know how it can all go out the window when you have so much on your mind and other things to focus on. I'd recommend you keep trying though, there may be…
  • Whilst I'm trying to get my mojo going, for me it's the non food rewards that are helping, I've set a list of what I'll do at each half stone loss like get a massage, treat myself to a new outfit etc. Whilst I know what 'reward's I hopefully will get going forward, at the moment I am focussed on staying on the path and…
  • I love granola too! If you wanted more control you could make your own? It's just oats with oil, honey and sugar (oil only needs to give small coating to the oats and can control sweetness/calories with however much sugar and honey you want), pop in the oven, leave out to harden and mix with any nuts or dried fruit you…
