I have just one rule. Log it all! That way I can't act all surprised if things don't go according to plan at my next race!

@kace_kay - your post above did my job for me! !

Also depends on why you're doing it. You need to be sure you align your workouts to you goals. 2, 000 cals a day is major training for a marathon or pretty major sports event. If the main goal is to lose weight, this will work; but you might find altering diet more effective. I note you usually lift, so that will be good…

Like you, I try to coincide the largest meals with actual run days - but I am also ok with achieving balance over a weekly cycle. Today is a…

With the massive exception of chocolate and ice cream, and most cakes and biscuits(!), I dislike all sweets/confectionery. And all fizzy drinks.

Keep it up with the accurate diary and logging, and give it a few more weeks. What you've described should work!

Important thing is you've taken the key first step. You know you are not where you want to be; now to fix it! Weight quietly creeping on is pretty common. I was a very thin child, and stayed that way for a while. I always thought of myself as thin. Yet, I slowly went from 62kg as a teenager, to about 80 in my 30s (which…
