• Maybe if you open your "Food Diary" someone can figure out what's going on. What is your daily average for sodium intake for the past 30 days? I suspect that may be your problem.
• You are losing 2-2/3 lbs/week! What more do you want? You are doing great. I know a lady who has spent almost 2 years losing 38 lbs and quiting is not an option for her. @ the rate you are going, you wouldn't exist in 2 years. You are doing well, give you self some time and you will get there. One pound @ a time.

•
But even if that's the OPs reason, they were asking for advice for recipes, not someone being rude saying that people that don't eat meat aren't "normal". As part of the Terms for the forums, if that person didn't have anything useful to post (and posting that the OP should "get the **** over it and eat meat like…
• The OP said: When you preface a thread with some statement like this, you are imposing your personal feelings where they do not belong. This sentence does not and should not be here, and if left out would have not gotten this agument started in the first place. This is the problem right here,...OP said:
I'm…
• I'm 63 @ Thanksgiving 306, Christmas 296 and today 260. BP meds for 23 years. When I started MFP 9 weeks ago I was 287 and taking 12 different BP meds/day and half of those twice/day and still BP was too high and I felt like a zombie. 3 weeks after starting MFP and figuring out salt was my main problem, I had to stop 9 of…
• What is your average daily sodium intake? When everyone wakes up tomorrow, you will be asked to open your diary. You are at the point where the going is getting tough. And will have to adapt to continue, but the folks who can help you need to know what you are doing and eating.
• I was 9 lbs heavier from Saturday to Monday morning after Easter weekend. It took 10 or 11 days to start going back down.
• Are you taking any meds? they can cause dry mouth. If the humidity where you live is low that will cause it also. I use a tooth paste called "biotene DRY MOUTH". and why they capitilize the dry mouth part I dont know, if that matters. There are some bottled waters I canot drink as they dry my mouth. Dasani seems to be OK.…

• That one dash = 295 mg sodium, I do not use them Read all of "200 pounds lost" by Bama56. In it he states the one worst thing in his diet. Sodium 3 minutes after opening your diary, you had the answer you need for a start. from 2 people. I try and consume 1 mg of salt for each calorie on average. When my sodium intake is…
• Everyone here knows how you feel. My wife came home today lamenting that no-one @ work has noticed her weight loss. I told her the same things everyone have been telling you. What you need is some MFP friends and there are some young ladies your age right here for you to recruit. Let us know how many friend requests you…
• I started out to lose the same amount as you and have lost 26 lbs since March 4th. Would you change yor settings under food to show Sodium?
• Dariln' I love Canadians especially their women. LOL! Seriously, many of my best friends are Canadians. I served @ the same time as one in Vietnam. He was blown out of a F-105 over the North. Lost both his legs. We plucked him out of a rice paddy just before the enemy got to him. There are many others. We have our share of…
• You asked an intelligent question so I'll answer, Too much sodium for me is any amount of sodium in mg's over the number of calories. I have been averaging approximately 1200 calories/day and working toward averaging 1200mg sodium/day. For 23 years I had to keep taking increasingly larger doses of more and more BP meds…
• No kidding sherlock? Maybe you should see how much is in that package of processed garbage.
• ^^^^^ This is the cold hard truth! Salt aka sodium and fat are not good for you. You have a smart body. It is training your brain.
• Quahogs - Raw or Baked
• Well, I'll be dipped! This little girl, A Yankee BTW, knows what the answer is,.....in a word.***** laziness!***** And she didn't even have to live in the South or read the New York Times or have some Elitest expert tell her the answer.
• So,............are you from Mississippi or near by?
• So, why did this guy de-activate his account?
• Tony, I will read it when I get some sleep, and let you know later. Thanks
• Tony, when you explain TDEE to her Maybe I can get it too.
• I am no expert. I took 3500 calories/lb X 14 lbs / 30 days =1633 deficit My wife weighs the same as the OP and we could not set up her profile for 2 lb loss per week because it won't compute below 1200 cal/day. For her to eat a 1000 cal deficit, wouldn't she need to eat around 700 cal/day?
• To lose that much weight, 14 lbs in 30 days, you are going to have to burn 1633 calories per day more than you take in. That is a lot.. I am going to try and follow your progress & hope you make it.
• So,..................how are Y'all doing this morning?
• This stuff really works! I get mine from Amazon
• I like that 7-holed pooper you got there! Semper Fi
• There is absolutely nothing you can't do! ROLL TIDE!
• Keep it simple. When you learn to log everything that goes in your mouth and look @ what is in it, you will know what to not eat. For me sodium is the #1 killer. Look @ the food diaries of people who are successful.
• I believe it is do-able for you. I know it is for me because I have already lost 25 lbs in 8 weeks and 2 days. But something in your profile is what you should really focus on. You said: "I am an only child and both my parents are obese and very unhealthy. They both have diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol,…
