My experience is that trying to make your old clothes fit while losing just makes you look like you're trying to make your old clothes fit. Thrift shops are a good idea as are garage sales in wealthier areas of your city.

This is epic and made me smile. Thank you.

@srschaffer1 A lot of people here mention a site called Just Bento (I googled it and found it the other day). I thought that site was very helpful, especially since her focus is on getting it packed right and pretty in 30 minutes or less.

I live five minutes from work, so I go home for lunch, but my husband may be getting bento-ized sometime soon.
-
Yup. This and the bento box thread get me going every morning.

O.M.G. @mygnsac Jamocha Almond Fudge is my favorite. Unfortunately, I haven't lived near a Baskin Robbins in twelve years, so I have been deprived. (Or maybe that's a good thing. :P )

I had a skunk cross my path once. Scared the livin' daylights out of me, but he wasn't interested in me, just in getting back home before dawn. Surprised me because I didn't smell him coming. I also had a pit bull herd me once. He was walking off lead with his owners and I trotted past. Apparently I should not have been…

Yes. Thank goodness I'm not alone. It's like the search engine is disconnected.

Personally, I think the best way to eat them is in a salad. Just toss some in with the rest of your ingredients. I have a recipe for a Mediterranean chicken and chickpea salad that has a Greek yogurt base, but of course I can't find it. It has feta cheese and cucumber in it, too. On a side note, I have tried the roasted…

Holy cow! We dropped off the first page. Can't let that go on.

Saute diced veggies of all kinds and either cook your eggs sunny side up or poach them and put them on top OR scramble the eggs in with the veggies after they are cooked. You can pre-prep this by sauteing a bunch of veggies when you have time and portion them out and put them in the fridge or freezer. Then you only have to…

Potatoes are a vegetable. ;) And so is salt according to the five year old version of my son.
-
Indeed. Thank you for saying it and seconding it.

You always have the most wonderful breads for your sandwiches. How do you keep them fresh and still have so many different kinds? Freezer?
-
Awesome sandwich. That's how I eat mine and the joke in my house is that I like a little bread with my salad. Can't hardly call it a sandwich. :)

Gonna have to look for Clown Shoes next time I go to the city. Partially because I like to try new beers, but partially because I want that label. :D
-
OK. I want to roll around in everything on this post. Yum.
-
Homemade soup is awesome and that looks delicious.

:o I am going to have to try that!

I'll send you a friend request. I'm not there yet, but I'm seeing some of the signposts. Be warned, I'm honest about my food and it's not always "good".

Bumpity bump bump. Ba bump bump.

@Socajam and @mygnsac - Thank you for the bean advice. When next I shop, I shall sally forth and try again. ;)
-
You've mentioned that you make a pot of beans or lentils and then use them throughout the week. Do you have a recipe or do you just make them plain? I'd like to make beans from scratch instead of using canned, but mine always come out flat and tasteless.
-
Everything fits. You just need to adjust your portion sizes.
-
Now that is a good meal.
-
Yes. Yes, it does. And that looks like just the ticket to start it off.

Most days it's just skim milk. Sometimes I'll add a teaspoon of sugar. If it's going to be my dessert, I'll have skim and a tablespoon of flavored creamer (International Delight Frosted Sugar Cookie is our current favorite). I love coffee and will drink it any way. Right now I'm having a cup with just a teaspoon of sugar.…
