I log both. Not sure if you eat back all your exercise calories, but if you do you want to make sure you aren't going too far below your calories for the day. Weight lifting and strength exercises are listed under cardio for some reason. It seems to be pretty accurate too.

Okay everyone, OP just asking a question. We're here to help not give our opinions. If OP said they wanted to lose 25 pounds I'd be worried. 10 pounds is okay. OP like others have said 0.5 pounds a week is fine. I've found weighing and measuring really does help. I also find the less processed the food is the better. Is…

It's one meal. Go back to doing what you were to lose the weight you have already lost. Also water is good. That's probably what is helping you lose. I find that more green vegetables will hellp you "cleanse". Most of those things are just laxatives anyway. You didn't gain all your weight in one day and it takes a while to…

OP, if you're changing your eating habits fof life, occasionally your will eat somdthing rich or high in calories. As long as you are tracking your calories & plan to go back to eatng healthy you will be fine. I disagree with the person who talked about overeating. There are some rich foods out there that you don't have to…

This. I know it's hard OP because when I started out I really didn't like drinking water. Ugh! But after I got over the frequent bathroom visits and the "water taste" I find that nothing really satisfies me when I'm thirsty other than water. When you start drinking it on a regular basis I hope you will find the same thing.…

Agree completely. I began eating more protein and am trying to cut back on the carbs. It does keep you fuller longer. Just another suggestion - you may want to drink more water and find foods with less sodium in it. I'm learning that what we're doing is all about making adjustments. You're almost there - congratulations…

I think even though I have lost weight, I also see myself without clothes on. When I look I see where I need go lose more pounds. I think it will take a little while to get over that.
-
I don't even think of this as a diet! I try to avoid the word also. This really is a lifestyle change to me - that's why I was wondering what others did.
-
Thanks everyone. One of the reasons I ask is because normally I just take a meal, not a whole day of eating what I want. Another question, did you have a large weight gain when you took it easy?
-
THIS. I have family and friends say the same to me. I've learned that people are used to seeing you in a certain way, so to see you look or do something different (like being on the treadmill) they feel they need to offer advice. Like others have said, just say "thank you" and move on. They really do have your best…

OP, I was also an emotional eater. My mom passed going on 2 years ago and that seemed to make it worse. But after one particular day of binging, I realized I had run out of excuses for being and staying obese. Like others have said you need to find other outlets for your emtions. I have learned to love exercising. I find…

Thanks everyone! I heard about the cauliflower & I like it raw and steamed. It should be good mashed. I will try the spaghetti squash again too. Just need to make some adjustments to get these last few pounds off. Thanks again!

I know weight watchers says that fruit & veggies are 0 points, but they have carbs & calories. You need to log in just to make sure your really keep track of everything you eat.

What a blessing you are! Enjoyed reading your story. God bless!

No problem with working out everyday if that's what you like. I work out at least 6 days are week - 7 days when I know there's a big holiday coming up and want a few extra calories to work with. Along with losing weight I found - like you - that working out is a stress reliever. I do see people somewhat like you who come…

What everyone said is true. I ate over my calories at Christmas, got on the scale and it said I gained 6 pounds. My TOM came the next day. I went and worked out and got back on the scale today and was down 3 pounds. Don't give up now! Really - even if you weren't doing a lifestyle change (which I pray that's what you're…

Thanks everyone. I figured I needed to change what I was doing. I lost the weight but it seems as if I just have alot of loose skin! I do weights at least 3 times a week, but I don't see the results that others seem to have. Also, my cardio is anywhere from 35 to 60 minutes average, so I thought maybe that was too much to…

Actually I think I had more than one question!
-
Yes, up about 6 pounds. Worked out and it went down about 3 pounds after. I figure I will lose the rest between now and January.
-
I work out 6 days a week (normally) also. I love working out but, as others have said, remember life happens. Why do you think you need to work out when your body is in a weakened state? I'm assuming you're not eating that much so take this time & let your body heal. Take time to catch up on some movies or books. You'll be…

You can do it. Nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself.

I believe we can ALL do what we want! Just think of where we all were this time last year. I still have 11 pounds to lose (although after today it may be 15 pounds - lol). I just think it will help to keep on track with your health (and everthing else) if you set goals.
-
No I didn't. I know I will tomorrow. I exercised yesterday for more than an hour & then delivered toys for Christmas. I thought I would be full of energy today, but wasn't. Just enough energy to eat - lol. Everyone enjoy your holiday.
-
As long as you are aware you'll be fine. Like someone else said make sure you log your calories. I already know I will go off tomorrow so I tried exercising more over the last few days and probably will Thursday. It's only one day or even a few days. I will say don't let it go over a week. Get back on track soon. Have fun…

I hear what you're saying, but as someone who started going to the gym when I was morbidly obese you have to tune people out and remember why you're there. I have to say that I have found if people see that you are consistent, really trying, and losing the weight they are very enciouraging. If you ever want to try, I'm…

Wonderful! You look amazing!

I was one of those people who was reluctant to go out. People do say awful things, laugh, etc. On the other hand I have met so many supportive people & that's what I try to focus on. Try to remember there are more people in your corner than the 3 of 4 idiots that probably make fun of everyone - not just overweight people.…

Went to a class guaranteed to lose weight. When I got to the class was told to close my eyes & think of myself small. This wonderful class cost me $25 & my dignity. Lol
