  • Sounds awesome! I think I"m going to use this to make some popsicles! mmmMmmmm
  • Thanks! That was my mistake. I knew which was which but was rushing out my post since I was at work...oops!
  • Fitbit has several tracking devices - the Zip, the Flex and the One. They measure different types of activity based on their price point. I have the Zip, which is the cheapest, but does everything I want it to - which is track my steps. I find it accurate and extremely motivational. The Flex and One will track flights of…
  • I just got T25 and Body Beast. Haven't started either yet but I think I am leaning towards trying Body Beast first. I will probably start it up next week. How is T25?
  • A lot of people are saying cross fit is expensive, but if you're looking to give it a try, continually check up on Groupon, Living Social, or any other discount website. I see cross fit classes pop up on there every month or so, and at a great price. For example, just today a cross fit Groupon came on in my area. $35 for…
  • Amazing progress! I am just starting to hear about Body Beast and am thinking of starting it up. What equipment do you need? I have a few free weights, but that's about it right now. Thanks!
  • You may need to switch up your routine if you've been stuck. A couple suggestions: - Mix up your workout routine - Eat at maintenance for a week or 2 - Don't exercise for a few days I'm not an expert, these are just some things that have worked for me. I know that as you get closer to your ideal weight, the pounds become…
  • I'm 28 and always looking for some more friends here. I've lost 30 lbs so far and am looking for that last push to meet my goal!
  • I have the zip and it's been great for me. My sister has the One and loves it. I considered the Flex when it came out but wanted to wait for reviews...from everything I heard, it's not worth it. It is apparently very inaccurate (which is somewhat expected because it's worn on the wrist, so how can you expect it to monitor…
  • I just started Insanity a few days ago. I don't plan on following their nutrition guide, though I'm sure it's helpful. I already watch what I eat and think that's enough for my needs. I watch my calories and make sure to make healthy meal choices. I worry that trying to follow such a strict guide is too time consuming and…
  • Rather than new pants or shorts, why not consider a runners belt? You'd only need one rather than multiple pairs of clothing. It's meant to carry small items like keys, phone, etc. Here is one for example:…
  • I've tried this once. I loved it and my wife, who doesn't really love blueberries, still enjoyed it. I think this recipe would be great substituting in strawberries or apples & cinnamon as well. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/01/baked-oatmeal-with-blueberries-and.html
  • I waste too much time checking myself out in the mirror. My wife and her sisters constantly do this and I no longer can make fun of them for it.
  • Can't say I've worked out a complex system like that, but I did set up a TV with my xbox in front of my elliptical. Only time I let myself play is when I exercise :)
  • Feel free to add me. I've been doing a hybrid workout mixing Insanity in with other workouts, but would like to try doing Insanity full on.
  • The program is meant to help everyone. Just do it to your best ability and concentrate on improving week-to-week.
  • Just balance it out with a few healthier meals and it's no problem. As long as you're balancing your diet, you'll be fine. I am way more relaxed about my meals during the weekend but make up for it by being on top of my meals during the week. However, I still track EVERYTHING as best as I can even when going out for meals.
  • I haven't tried any of these recipes, but I have had a few varieties in wraps and they're pretty good, so I imagine the pizzas will be too. This actually has peaked my interest to give it a try this weekend :) http://www.flatoutbread.com/category/recipes/flatbread-wraps/grillin-pizza/
  • Banana, Honey or Agave all could help. I make a chocolate-peanut butter-banana smoothie everyday for breakfast...so so good. The chocolate I use is protein powder though.
  • Definitely trying this!
  • Definitely giving these a try this weekend! Thanks!
  • ^This, plus try adding to this some garlic, fresh basil and a chicken breast (optional, but a good way to add protein and fill up). That's a favorite dish in our house!
  • I've lost about 25 lbs in 3 months with consistent exercise and a "normal" diet. Like you, I've cut out a lot of junk food and snacking, but I will continue to enjoy my daily meals. I just make sure to make healthier substitutions where I can without losing out on taste because I LOVE food. I also make sure to keep to the…
  • I'm in the same boat! Lost 25 lbs and am just starting to see some definition in my abs. Can't wait for the next month or 2 to see even more progress.
  • Same here...total disappointment. I have the fitbit zip and have been extremely happy with it! I would highly recommend it.
  • I use the magic bullet and love it. However, it's not great with full ice cubes. If you have a refrigerator that can offer crushed ice, the magic bullet handles it no problem and the result is a super smooth smoothie.
  • I have the same smoothie everyday for breakfast and never get tired of it! - 1 banana - 1 tbsp low fat peanut butter - 1 scoop (+/- 35g) protein powder (vanilla or chocolate - both work great) - 1/2 cup 1% milk - a little ice Comes out around 375-425 calories depending on the size of the banana and the protein powder used.
  • Great job everyone! I'm almost at my goal after 3 months of healthy eating and working out 5-6 times a week. Once I hit my goal weight the next stage is toning up!
  • When I first began MFP, my daily steps were around 5K (I work a 9-5 desk job). I was completely disheartened when I realized that I was only halfway towards the "healthy norm" of 10k steps a day. However, after making several small changes in my daily routine, I've upped my average daily steps to 11-12k without too much…
  • I started Insanity about 3 weeks ago. I'm not sticking to the planned routine - I do it 3 days a week and mix in cardio workouts (walking, elliptical) on the other days. I typically eat 1800-2000 calories a day, which is about the pace to lose a pound a week. So far I've really loved the workouts, although they really are…
