  • Fitbit Charge HR is a good option. Tracks your heart rate throughout the day to give a better estimate of calories burnt.
  • I usually end up buying mine from GNC when a sale comes around. They have a 30% off every now and again, and once or twice a year they do buy one get one free which gets them down to about $1.50 per bar when you buy them by the box. My suggestion would be to sign up for Slickdeals.net (it's free), which essentially is a…
  • Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the positive feedback!
  • Bump. Very curious about this. Great question!
  • I'm a lifter and eat upwards of 3500 calories a day :) Anyone's free to add me.
  • Hey man, I'm finishing up the 4th week of the program. Feel free to add me and we can push eachother!
  • I agree with this 100%. Body Beast is all about weight training at a fast pace to keep your heart rate racing. And as far as the weights, do what you can. It's all about improvement anyway. I would recommend you test out or at least watch a few workouts before dismissing the program.
  • I haven't bought these yet but they're on my wish-list for when I have the spare $ to spend. They were the best reviewed wireless 'workout' headphones I could find on amazon for a decent price.…
  • Congrats on your weight loss so far! I can relate to your issue. While the weight you've lost is considerable, it may not SEEM to be showing, but I promise you that it is. You see your body everyday, so the changes that are occurring day to day may not be noticeable to you. If you haven't done so already, consider taking…
  • After calculating my TDEE on several websites, it does seem like my maintenance is right around 3,000 calories - which obviously makes sense with the results I've had over the last few weeks. Thanks for the input!
  • Thanks, I kind of knew in the back of my head that I needed to up my calories, but after spending months losing weight, it's definitely a mental hurdle to eat so much. I think I'll jump up 300 calories for a couple of weeks and see where that gets me.
  • Hey, I'm on week 3 of Body Beast. Would love to join the facebook group!
  • Congrats on starting and good luck! I just started week 3 of the Lean program. Just wait until you get to the leg workouts...
  • It took me about 6 months to lose 40lbs through diet and regular exercise. My progress photos are in my current profile picture.
  • I'm only in week 2 of the Lean program, but I'm loving it. So far I've only gained a pound, but I'm still trying to figure out the right calories & macros that work for me during a bulk. Can't wait to make it through the program and see the results! Feel free to add me as a friend and we can follow each others progress.…
  • Most likely the OP did not include almond milk for taste as much as it is for saving on the calories. You could use whatever type of milk you like.
  • Thanks! I'll be sure to add some flexed (and maybe even shaved) pics during my next set of progress pics.
  • I got my latest workout clothes from www.eastbay.com. They have really reasonable prices and sales all the time. Check their 2 for $20 items!
  • Hey guys, I'd be real interested in your thoughts on my current BF%. I have a fitbit Aria scale and it puts me between 17-19%, but who knows how accurate that scale actually is. Both the pictures are not flexed. HT: ~ 5' 9-10", WT: 171 lbs. Thanks!
  • Thanks everyone! It's always nice to be able to see the fruits of your labor.
  • I've been at this since February, so just under 6 months. I began my journey by changing my diet and have stuck pretty closely to my calorie goals every day. I've lost about 40lbs at an average of about 1lb/wk for the first 3-4 months and then it slowed a bit. I've been at maintenance or close to it for the last month or…
  • I only check it using my Fitbit Aria scale, so who knows how accurate that actually is, but my current BF% is in the 17-18% range. My before picture in the profile, from February, I was over 26%. My goal is to be under 15%.
  • So I've been doing Body Beast for 2 weeks now...well a modified version. I do it 3 days a week alternating with 3 days a week of running with Couch to 5k. I absolutely love the program so far and once I'm done with C25k I definitely thing I'm going to start Body Beast over and do the full program.
  • This ^^ Or also, you could sign up for a program like GymPact. They basically pay you to workout - you set a goal for the week, say 5 workouts. If you reach your goal for that week, you get paid. HOWEVER, if you miss any workouts, you end up having to pay them $5 per workout. It's great motivation because a) you can make a…
  • I haven't tried it yet, but Shaun T's new one, Focus T25, is supposed to be a really great workout and all sessions are 25 minutes.
  • I stick to at-home workouts only. I started with elliptical only, then added in some body-weight exercises (push-ups, pull-ups), and eventually moved onto some workout DVD programs (Insanity, Body Beast) and running with C25k. As you can see, I have exercise ADD, but that's besides the point...There are plenty of options…
  • Depending on the type of ground beef you use, you could cut the calories even further by using ground turkey. You can still get great flavor using 93/7 ground turkey, especially considering all of the other flavors in the lasagna. The recipe sounds great though - definitely going to give it a whirl.
  • I'm in the same boat. I've lost most of the weight and now want to get stronger. I alternate running and lifting, 3 days a week each. Feel free to add me!
  • I'm always looking for friends with the same goals. I just completed week 4 day 1 this morning. Feel free to add me!
  • Incredible results! I just started Body Beast yesterday and would be thrilled if I had results anywhere near close to yours.
