Hi everyone,my weight loss has been gradual and I'm nearly at my target weight, however these last couple of weeks its been harder to lose. I started my weight loss journey in March and using MFP in April, the last 6lb is refusing to shift. I started out at 12st 5lb at the end of March, I now weigh 11st 6lb. I'm 5ft 4in and I'm eating 1380 cals a day with lightly/ moderate activity, im on my feet 5 out of 6 hours at work and have an active job. I exercise 3 times a week doing aquafit for an hour, zumba for an hour, kettlebells for 30 mins and either 30 mins aerobics or jogging or long walks. What else can I do to shift these last 6lbs????
Thanks :-) P.S Also this week I've done extra jogging and walking by taking part in race for life 5k, school trip to a farm, and eaten extra healthily. Yet when I got weighed this morning I've only lost 0.5lb!! :-(

I am in the same situation. I am also around 12st 5 and want to lose enough to be below 11st but for me it has been months not weeks. I have tried eating more, eating a bit less, exercising more, exercising less, not exercising and I keep staying within a 3 pound range.
Have you tried to eating more ? It does work for some people at just a couple hundred calories extra a day,0 -
As I understand it, half a lb in a week is great when you're that close to your goal weight. It's likely that you're doing everything right and just gotta keep at it.0

Up your calories...change your workout regime to something intense and try introducing green tea to your diet. Check your weight after 2 weeks of making changes....0

You may need to switch up your routine if you've been stuck. A couple suggestions:
- Mix up your workout routine
- Eat at maintenance for a week or 2
- Don't exercise for a few days
I'm not an expert, these are just some things that have worked for me. I know that as you get closer to your ideal weight, the pounds become much more difficult to shed. Confusing your body is a good way to kick start the weight loss again. After I hit my plateau, I didn't freak out (mostly because of all the great advice I found on MFP). I upped my calories for a week to maintenance, calmed down my workouts, and basically let my body reset.0 -
Cheers everyone, I have changed my fitness routine and tried eating more but nothing seems to be working, I really enjoy the classes I do and would feel too lost to not do them for a week!
I'm not even sure what my maintenance amount is anymore as I've messed about with my intake so many times over the last month. I added kettles in the last 6weeks to add something more intense and found I really enjoy them, however I now really don't know what else to do,add or take away. Does it seem I'm not eating enough? :-/0 -
I don't think you're eating enough. I'm 5'4" too and about 136 pounds and I'm moderately active. My TDEE -20% is almost 1700 calories. If you're eating only 1380 calories and not eating any exercise calories back you are probably eating below your BMR, which you shouldn't do for too long. I'm a big believer in TDEE because I lost about 75 pounds eating between 1200-1300 calories but plateaued and even gained weight for months eating the same amount. Once I started eating more the weight started to come off again.0

Think I may try upping my calories then... but to how much?0

TDEE - 20% ....you can try at idle and then add excercise calories over it ...

I too fee you are not eating enough....also keep a check on your macros....don't exceed the carbs...
Cheers :flowerforyou:0
