I also had an Up that died after a few months, seems to be pretty common that they last 8-12 weeks and then have issues. Go see the Amazon reviews. I have a fitbit flex now that is more comfortable and easier to sync. The fitbit app is better as well.

Both devices are cool for what they do. I had a Jawbone Up and it died after a few months, if you look at Amazon reviews you will see that its pretty common for them to die. Hi I had a Jawbone Up, it died and it seems like many of them are. I have a FitBit Flex now and I like the design a lot better. Its slim, light and has a very simple display. The app for the Flex is better as well

I'd stay away from the Jawbone Up, I had one of the 2.0 version ones and it failed after a few months. I looked at Amazon and there seems to be a very high failure rate. While it worked it was good.
