~*Big hugs*~ My thoughts are with you and everyone else who has such a long journey to recovery ahead! There are great numbers of people pulling together all over the country to get useful supplies to the devastated area. My fellow MFPers, check with local churches and other organizations to see what you can do to help.…

Great job! Your arms are looking especially awesome!

Yes! It has been a lot of fun(?) discovering how many of my old favorite foods are actually pretty gross tasting, now that my taste buds have been spoiled by all the truly tasty healthy stuff.

Patience!

It looks like the brunette's has been thinned out more where the length is and that would be nice and cool for the coming summer! My vote is for that one.
-
Congrats! You look fantastic! If I had to guess your size, I would think you were even much smaller than a 14 now! I think the confident smile is the hottest part...whatever you lose in pounds and inches, please never lose that great smile! :)
-
Looking forward to checking this out!

I have definitely gotten colder as the pounds have dropped, so don't hesitate to let the promise of less "insulation" motivate you!
-
Excellent! I can absolutely see the changes!

Welcome to the site, you're going to love it! Best of luck to you on your fitness journey!

CW is 138 GW is 125 My highest weight was around 185, and back then I would never have imagined 125 would be something attainable, but now that I'm in the 130s and I've seen how/where the weight comes off on my body, I think 125 will have me looking and feeling "just right." :)

I'm a smoker (not a heavy smoker, but an addict for sure) and sometimes I think about quitting. Things on my mind: Thing 1.) Upside to quitting - I would be able to run from zombies longer without getting out of breath. Thing 2.) Downside to quitting - It would significantly reduce the chance that I get to be the cool…

Well put!

Like many others, I love that part!

Lightbulb moment! You might like to visit mybodygallery.com and plug in XL and your body type and then you could get an idea of what the average weights are of the people who match that criteria. It's a really neat site, with user submitted photos along with their weights/sizes/etc. meant to give us all an idea of "what…

Congrats! You've done an amazing job and you're right in your advice, all of the hard work pays off when we just keep pushing!

It's true, sizes are just so wacky and all over the place. I do understand OP's interest in knowing when she might be out of the plus sizes though. Moving out of that section and shopping exclusively in "regular sizes" was a big milestone for me, having gone from size 18 to 8. Based on posts here, I'd say you can certainly…

I was never comfortable wearing anything that fit tightly, so had I been more comfortable with my body at that weight I probably would have worn a Large. I was always putting on "normal fitting" clothes and then saying, "Oh my god, you can see my belly. I can't wear this." My boyfriend reassured me that people of my size…

It really varies from person to person depending on build, where the clothes come from, and how you like them to fit but hopefully you get enough responses to figure out an average. :) I'm 5' 7 and I believe XL for me was around 160-170 pounds, but I didn't wear anything tight.

I picked the low end of the healthy BMI range for my height, so that I'd have a little wiggle room without running the risk of heading back into the overweight range. I've also visited sites like Model Mayhem and My Body Gallery, where I plug in my height and my goal weight (and bra size on Model Mayhem) and the majority…

I love breakfast, so I never miss it. If nothing else, you could try having a good quality granola bar or a smoothie every morning for a while and see if that helps boost your weight loss. It couldn't hurt to try! (So long as the breakfasts are healthy - low in bad stuff in high in good stuff.)

My sister in law is around your size and she got a Schwinn Beach Cruiser. I don't know which specific model she got, but it is similar (if not the same) to the one you posted. You should definitely try some bikes of various sizes before you decide on one to determine what frame size works for you. You don't want to end up…

Oops, upon thread review, I see you went with that one! Oooooooh, good choice! Best wishes for an awesome wedding! :)

The second one! I actually said "Ooooooh!" out loud when I scrolled down to that one.

I realized I have several cute dresses from last Spring that I'll have to sell online because they're too loose now! NSV for my waistline and my wallet! :)
-
Great work, congratulations! Thanks for sharing and inspiring!

I try to stick to light things like salad, steamed veggies, miso soup, green tea, and drink lots of water to keep myself on track for the rest of the day when I splurge at lunch or breakfast. It doesn't always work out that way, of course, but I try! ;)

Anything with a dessert buffet. As a vegetarian, I manage to happily tear through all kinds of low-cal veggies on the salad bars, but once I hit the dessert counter I just go berserk for the "bad stuff." I have to try everything -cake, pie, brownies, cookies, bread pudding....nom, nom, nom, bread pudding with a hot cup of…
