  • Hallelujah! Praise the lowered (weight!)
  • I'm still in the early days of learning to be a non-smoker again and I definitely catch myself trying to replace smokes with food. I miss them soooooo much - I love, love, loved smoking. I'm just trying to avoid keeping tempting things like cookies or chocolate in the house so it's not so easy to replace the cigarettes…
  • This...is...a...bummer. I often fall short of meeting the protein allowance but I always thought it would be okay to fall a little under. If what MFP tells me to take in is on the low side though, I'll start trying harder to meet it then. :ohwell:
  • I am hooked on this for lunch - three scrambled egg whites on a plate next to 2-3 cups of spinach cooked in light margarine. It's so tasty and quick to make and it totals up like this -- Calories - 111 Carbs - 3 Fat - 5 Protein - 12 Fiber - 1 Sugar - 0 My current missions are to make sure I'm getting all the protein I…
  • Starting this week, I'm trying to watch my sugar intake and see if I can get it down to something close to the 24 grams MFP sets me at. I am an absolute sugar junkie and I know it. When I was just counting calories and not watching the sugar, I'd easily end up with 3 or 4 times the amount I was supposed to - d'oh! I've…
  • I've been "fat" and I've been "skinny" and I can tell you that having my body criticized by strangers and loved ones hurts just as much on both ends of the spectrum. I can't speak for everyone but for me personally, unwelcome comments about my body are even more common when I'm thin. Any time I find myself drawing…
  • Caution: Do Not Attempt to Operate Without Adequate Fuel (The instruction manual would state that coffee is the only acceptable fuel for this machine.) :drinker:
  • I'd eat powdered sugar with a spoon, like it was a bowl of cereal or something. Also, instant jello powder - I'd dump it onto a plate and eat it with my tongue.
  • Looking hawt! Cute haircut in the after too!
  • I like the bunny very much! I agree about the anonymity being a benefit, I like keeping my "real pictures" tucked away in my profile. That way, I'm "here" but it reduces the chance that a casual acquaintance, friend of a friend, co-worker etc. might stumble across some embarrassing post I've made about cellulite or…
  • The rabbit is definitely giving Diana a run for her money in the "wicked cute" department. ;) How many sit-ups you think I've got to do to get awesome ears like that?
  • I think maybe one reason people might use that sort of photo is for inspiration, to have it staring out at them as a constant reminder of how they once were and would like to be again. Same with photos of skinny models and such, goal-type photos. <---I have Supremes era Diana Ross over there because she is wicked cute.
  • BMI ~20 Weight 125-130 Height 5' 7 Size 4/6 and S/M
  • Usually right out of the shower, nude or close to it. If I washed my hair and it's still wet, I take that into consideration and dock some weight. Long wet hair is heavy! :)
  • Good old fashioned real maple syrup. I experimented with other syrups but decided a list full of wacky words wasn't worth the trade off and that maple syrup is totally worth the sugar for me. It's not like it's something I use every day and I only use a tablespoon when I do, and it's really too expensive to go nuts with,…
  • Comments about my hair, tattoos, and child never bothered me like this one did --- I had someone walk up to me in the store and grab my hip while declaring, "I can feel your bones!!!" C'mon, I don't walk up to people and grab their muffin tops while declaring, "I can feel your fat!!" for all the world to hear. Maybe it was…
  • Great work, keep it up! Be patient with the last 14 pounds - it seems that the less you have to lose, the harder it gets. You can do it though and you're looking great!
  • As a vegetarian, it is pretty easy to avoid McDonalds because they have so little to offer me. I do enjoy their side salad with the balsamic dressing...quick, tasty, only $1 and there are a good variety of more colorful greens in there - not just iceberg. Even buying those makes me feel guilty though because I'm supporting…
  • Food Inc, is so awesome in so many ways. I don't think I know anyone who has seen it that wasn't changed by it. It's very well-made as well. We've rewatched it several times in my house. "Enlighten Up!" is one I like to rewatch too. Very fun movie about yoga and spirituality with a lot of great strong bodies and minds to…
  • I agree with you ladies about the "skinny fat." I messed up and got skinny fat myself before I knew what it was and it's not pretty! LOL With clothes on, it's fine, but I'm still a little squishy underneath them. Ha! I've decided I'll know I'm doing things right (fit, not just thin) when I can do a handstand without my…
  • "Disfigured" is an interesting movie about weight. It's about an obese woman who makes friends with an anorexic woman. There are some really great moments in it and while it does get dark, it ends on a more positive note.
  • I posted that back in May. For the last several months I'e been hanging around 127-130. My main focus (number-wise) has been just to stay under 130 and I've been doing that pretty well but I would like to start seeing 125 or so because 129 is acceptable but freaks me out a little...too close to 130.
  • Awesome! I'm working on doing the 30 Day Shred this month. It will be my first time following a long-term exercise plan like this. I usually just mix things up and do random stuff each time I work out, so I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes.
  • L1D2 done. I took some before pics but there's no way I'm sharing those until I have some impressive after pics to post right next to them! :) I will take some measurements tonight too.
  • L1D2 was definitely harder with my arms already sore from yesterday, but I know they'll get used to it. Looking forward to kicking my own butt some more tomorrow! :)
  • Day 2 was tougher than Day 1, starting off sore in the arms. I love it though - grrrrrr, feel the burn! I love the cardio bits, nice to give the achy muscles a break!
  • I think the idea is just to keep posting in this thread and come back to it regularly to check for post from others as well. :) We can keep each other encouraged and post our results.
  • Even the bread is loaded with high fructose corn syrup, which is something we should definitely avoid whenever possible. If you can find a local sandwich shop with "real bread," give that a try instead. Edit: I see now that you were talking about the salad bowl - which I assume doesn't involve bread. :)
  • This thread says people are logging it as 30 minutes of Circuit Training. That counts as a 232 calorie burn. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/264158-how-to-log-30-day-shred?hl=logging+30+day+shred#posts-3489752
  • L1D1 was good! I like it!
