Hello There! It's all about measuring everything that goes in vs. out. So you can eat the things you love as long as you know your calorie intake. The one thing I found that is absolutely amazing and extremely filling is something called Shirataki noodles. These are tofu and generally in the refrigerated produce section…

I started yesterday, 09/29. I knew if I didn't "just do it" I wouldn't. I think my cat confiscated my measuring tape (he thinks it makes a great toy) and I'll have to look for it, but my starting weight on 09/28: 150.6.

Yep, I gained about 20 back being on maintenance and that's why I started getting serious again yesterday. I started 30DS as well as doing much needed heavy duty yard work, painting, shoveling rock, etc. I am going to make this happen and try to figure out a great way to keep it off. If ya'all have any suggestions, I am…

That was my favorite NSV for sure! Wearing clothes that were too baggy then trudging through the closet to find clothes I haven't worn in years to find out that they were too big as well. Soon after I realized that my sunglasses & shoes didn't fit either. I did a little victory dance in my closet :-)

I'm here for you if you'd like to be friends. Once you get the hang of it, it really is just a matter of "mind over mouth." Count everything that goes into your mouth even if it's 5 calories for a piece of gum. If you notice you are going over your allotment, get up and walk, do leg lifts, crunches, anything to burn. Just…

Fantastic! Kudos to all of your hard work and to your daughter for inspiring you!

I'm not diabetic, but am willing to be friends and support your efforts. You can find diabetic groups on there. Just go to groups then do a search. Love the hat! It goes great with your smile!

There is a Jillian Michaels DVD you can purchase really cheap or it's free on YouTube.

Hey there! My friends call me E, short for Elishea. I have had the DVD, floor mat and hand weights sitting by my TV for months & months. I tried it one day a long time a go, but left it at that. I would love to get through the 30 days and see the results. I'm glad you've started this group. Challenges tend to hold me…

I simply cut the calories as suggested. Calories in v. calories out. Oh, and I got off the couch and did something, anything...

30 miles in 30 days doesn't sound as easy as it sounds to me either  I don't ride, but I am going to try and use this goal as well. Good riding everyone!

I agree, they sure do act offended. Everyone wants the miracle cure. Congrats on the NSV - those are the best!

Feel free to add me too. The hardest part (for me) of getting a workout in is lacing up those shoes.

I just finished W1D1 last night and I did much better than I thought I would. I think it may be because of the app I'm using on my phone which allows me to listen to music while running. It's fantastic. I even had a bit of a runners high after words  I'm happy to be on this journey. Please add me as a friend!

Mine isn't auto logging either.

I'm starting on Monday the 13th as well. I have talked to my boss to get some advice because he runs the Boston Marathon. He told me that if I am not active then I should follow the C25K training program exactly with no other lower body impact exercise to prevent shin splints and any other injuries that could easily arise.…

I usually get up before everyone else and go for a walk, run or hit the gym. Then I eat whatever I want, but keep in mind serious portion control. You can do it!!!! :flowerforyou:

When the thought enters my mind... I lace up and go for a walk, get down and do some crunches or push-ups, clean the house... anything to take my mind off of it. And I'd also say, until I could make proper choices when out, I didn't go out. It's difficult in the beginning for sure but I just kept my weekly goal in mind.…

Feel free to friend me! I'm starting again to lose my final 20!
-
I lost 45 about a year ago. Had a health issue and gained 10 of that back but stayed on maintenance thereafter. I am starting seriously again as of yesterday to rid myself of my last 20. The board and friends can be a great help! Feel free to add me as a friend.
