Try www.active.com.. they have a search feature that lets you look for all the races in your area. Also, take a look at runnersworld.com. Both have search features and a wealth of info on running in general as well as pointers for newbies. I just did my first one on Saturday and it was awesome! I was nervous too but…

I make mine with either couscous or brown rice and ground turkey and whatever veggies I have laying around. Come out just as delicious as the "bad" version!

This post couldn't have been more well timed. My first 5k is tomorrow and I'm starting to freak a little. This made me feel much better. Look forward to more comments and advice from other posters!

Do I even have to answer this? You saw my diary and know me well enough!

I do exactly the same but add a splash of white vinegar to the water (not sure where I learned that from). Come out perfect everytime, no green ring around the yolk!

I work out almost exclusively in the AM, first thing and always on an empty stomach. It just seems to be what works for me. But I found I have to get something in me right after or else I hear it (literally) from my stomach if I wait to long. I found that soy chocolate milk or almond milk/whey protein powder is the perfect…

Bump! Interested in the advice. One pregnancy and 2 abdominal surgeries later and I cannot get my belly as flat as it was for the life of me.. hoping there's still hope!

Bump! I totally need to up the strength training as I'm doing next to nothing (Last Chance Workout 1-2x per week). Looking forward to suggestions and advice!

FlowerBomb is the ol' standby. Pink Sugar is my newest favorite. Also like Alien and Cool Waters.

I started to try to log it and just plain gave up.. figured 2 days off the grid wouldn't kill me. I didn't go crazy but was at my parents for the weekend. Mom's Italian so everything we ate was pretty rich. And of course, lots of wine. But back to the program now.. planning on tightening down a bit more than usual this…

1. What are your MFP goals? To be healthier & stronger, and of course look better! 2. What did you eat for breakfast? Carnation Instant Breakfast made with almond milk and a tsp of natural PB. 3. What do you do with "me" time? Shopping, mani/pedi, massage, reading. 4. 2 Radom things in your closet? Several pairs of boots I…

Hmm... gotta find this place..

Same here.. timing couldn't have been better! Good to know I'm not the only one struggling with this!

Totally agreed! I have 3 big scars on my abdomen from various surgeries. I plan on rockin' the bikini this summer, scars or not. To me that are my battle wounds, signs that I am a warrior and a survivor. Don't look at them as a bad thing.. think of them as what's made you strong!

Rest is definitely in order or you risk really injuring yourself! In terms of running, never power through pain. Best idea.. R.I.C.E. Rest Ice Compression Elevate

*LIKE*

Ditto! No self control when it comes to merlot. I swear I'll sacrifice food calories someday before I sacrifice the wine. But I am getting better though!

Ok count me in  .. same here though, do it to remind myself of my progress so far.

It tracks calories all day long. I usually take a peak at it when I get on the treadmill and then again when I'm done to calculate calories. It's fairly accurate. Keep in mind its designed for runners/walkers and basic motion. It can't track calories for activities such as cycling and obviously not swimming. They have a…

Definitely thongs for me, comfort being the biggest reason!

Yep.. I have one and LOVE it to pieces!! I feel naked without it and now get mad if I forget to put it on. I wanted something simple, realitively affordable that would help me track my daily activities as well as my workouts and miles (running) and this fit the bill perfectly!
