Well done - this is a great way to show progress! =]

This sounds stupid because I'm 23, single with zilch commitments but - having some ME time! Haha. The gym lets me unwind and forget everything. Plus you'll feel SO much better afterwards, not just physically but mentally too...

^^^ Hahaaa, love this. Geektastic.

Oh, I see. Well put - sorry for my error. :)

Well it doesn't take them into account if you have it set to 'sedentary'. If you've told MFP that you're active, and exercise 4-5 times a week, then it factors in some extra calories. Personally, I find it easier to select sedentary and then try and eat back at least 50% of my exercise calories :]

Lose the HTML, and just put around the URL :) But in lowercase.

BOTH! I've always been a swimmer but I don't find it very effective for weight loss - mainly because I'm always STARVING afterwards. Whereas running seems to suppress the appetite and I find I'm less hungry. Running is awesome for toning legs and tummy muscles, whilst swimming is excellent for your back/shoulders etc…

Houuuuurglass, baby.

Hmm.. I absolutely loathe the flashing cursor thing which highlights where you are in a Microsoft Word document; or this little box! I have to type really fast to outrun it... or move it way down the screen if I'm reading something back. It's taunting me now.

Seriously: what ever works for you! I'm intrigued by this, though... I'm going to have a small breakfast tomorrow and see if I eat less :p I have a feeling it'll have the opposite effect on me.

Thanks everyone! Please do add me in case I missed anyone... :)

Hehhe... I'm not sure why I just found this topic so amusing. But no, my standards don't change depending on age :p LOL @ PapaverSomnif

In the meantime, might be worth logging it as 'circuit training' as maybe people do this for the 30 Day Shred.

20ish?

Any idea how many miles you covered by week 5?
-
Well in the shorter interval runs I guess your heart rate stays quite high, as the walks are shorter and it doesn't get as much time to come down. In theory, this means your heart is working harder for longer, thereby requiring more calories. If the later runs are interspersed with longer walks, then your heart rate drops…

Duct tape your hands together? Or your mouth? :)

I agree entirely, whole-heartedly and absolutely with this. Those who can't grasp such basic grammar should be branded eternally with 'Muppet' across their forehead... ;)

Happy Friday :)))

Ahh - sorry to 'hijack' the thead, but I didn't want to pester people by starting another topic with the exact same title, haha. I also have foot pain - but mine is on the top of the foot. For the past week it's been sore when I lift my toes (particularly the big toe). Today it's less painful but it's started 'creaking'…

I am - feel free to add :)

I think you know you can... :P
