I LOVE the subreddit for Keto.. and ketorecipes.. and keto_food.. Here a few others you might not know about (and for newcomers that might be interested in Reddit for Keto stuff) : https://www.reddit.com/r/keto/ (Main Keto page) https://www.reddit.com/r/Keto_Food/ (One of the Keto food pages I follow)…

I started 3.5 weeks ago.. 1 week doing 50 carbs or less, lost 5 pounds. Started doing 20 carbs or less last Saturday combined with exercise has me going down almost a pound a day.. probably not healthy but it's mostly water weight. My hunger level is so farther lower since I did the 20 carbs or less that I don't even wanna…

For sweets, I make sugar free jello and then add some spray whip cream on top. For pizza, they have chicken crust recipes but I'm not impressed.. but what I AM impressed with is cauliflower and fathead pizza (fathead uses almond flour and cheese and an egg). For breading chicken, use ground up pork rinds. I used to use egg…

So this other morning I ate one low carb tortilla (10c, 4 fiber= 6 net carbs), with 1 tbsp of almond butter (7 carbs for 2 tbsp, 3 fiber = 2 net carbs per tbsp) = instead of 17 carbs, it's actually 8 carbs since there is 7 carbs of fiber that won't raise my blood sugar level :) it's so amazing too.. It makes me not bloated…

Net carbs is where you subtract fiber from the total amount. Fiber is a carb that your body cannot digest so it does not raise your blood sugar levels or trigger an insulin response. So let's say you look at coconut flour.. It's, like, 20 carbs per cup but it's 15 fiber (this is an estimation but it's actual pretty…

Also wanted to mention that diet drinks can be had but it all depends on the person. I don't crave sweets when I drink it but it makes my other friend crave candy like crazy. This also goes towards any type of sugar free stuff. I forgot the last thing.. At Kroger, they have low carb yogurt called Carbmaster. It's 5g carbs…

I love Keto! I am pcos afflicted with carb obsession and it's so easy to follow this diet since I'm only watching the carbs/sugar. I lost 17 pounds the first few weeks and I eat a lot on it. Pork rinds are my best friend for breading chicken.. So is coconut flour ("high"in carbs but the fiber makes it low in net carbs). If…

I aim for 50kg or lower, and on my bad days I limit myself to 100kg. I jump off the wagon on the weekends but I don't go crazy. I started January 5th at 280 and 2 weeks later, I'm now down 15 pounds exactly. I have PCOS so losing weight is hard for me. I've tried counting calories but I only gained with that. And I do not…

I just started a week ago (maybe a day after Christmas) eating low-carb/keto and I'm down 10 pounds so far. Of course, probably all water weight but considering how obsessed I am with carbs (I dream about eating french fries and oreos if they are around me) I will take it. How I am helping myself keep steady so far, I got…

Thank you guys ALLLLL for the responses.. each one had something different (and the same) and it made me happy. You answered my questions very thoroughly and made any possible future worries put to rest. I tend to overanalyse and sometimes quit things before I should but since I look forward to riding as much as I can, I'm…

Yeah xD. I had a gyno appt today because the main PCP wanted a second set of eyes on my ovaries/cysts to see if they were getting better/worse, how bad they were. I asked him if he thought that metformin could/could not cure issues and he said it quite possibly could but he also mentioned that my depression/anxiety might…

Yeah, it all made sense. The doctor I went to seemed to not want to put me on multiple pills which is good since I'd rather do it the right way.. See how I react to what I'm taking and then raise what I'm taking and/or try something new. I've lost some weight from taking the metformin but it's mainly from diarehha (from…

@cndkendrick well she mainly prescribed for the pcos since I am at Well, I got prescribed Metformin mainly due to the PCOS/prediabetes/control of the elevated insulin levels.. She had basically said that the PCOS hormone imbalance (my body makes more androgens and testosterone than it does estrogen) which causes all of my…

Since I was just given Metformin (and Sprintec which is estrogen birth control), I wonder if you have a high enough dosage? I was trying to find info from all around the interwebs and I read that some people take, like, 3 500mg of metformin a day. I'm only taking 1x500mg a day but it's probably for the doctor to see if I…

I wonder if I put this in the wrong message board? :l

Sorta discouraging when I get so excited to see a high number.. and then it goes down. But I'm glad I asked now so now I know.. The first time I saw it I thought I was going crazy.. "Oh I guess I didn't read it right the first time". And there was one time that I adjusted the numbers because I knew it was off or something.…

You all are amazing. I eat my (fitbit) calories back which usually are over 2000 calories on my workout days and I try to aim for exactly 2k on my not-as-active days. So, I definitely eat my calories. On my rest days, I don't do much but sit on my computer to play Minecraft alllll day long xD (Side note, I do that after I…

I love y'all. Thank you for your quick replies :D. Glad I thought about asking here instead of Yahoo Answers.. I always forget that people here know health stuff relatively better than there :) I'll stick with Lightly Active for now :)

Pretty fat = 253 pounds. And thank you.. I'd like to say that I'm Lightly Active as well but bf swears up and down that I'm only Sedentary so I was unsure :)

I am playing right now. I've been just doing the Just Dance4 without a HRM for the most part. For the Karate one, 25 minutes is about 74 calories. For Cheerleader boot-camp one, 25 minutes is about 130 calories. Now, I'm doing the Cheerleader Bootcamp and doing the 45 minutes one so I can finish all the levels.. I'm at 25…

1200 calories might not be enough for you. Might be putting yourself in starvation mode possibly. I went from 1200 calories to 1800 calories on my slightly active day and I lost 4 pounds in two weeks when I wasn't losing anything before. But I got my number from "In Place of a Roadmap" forum on here:…

@Zylahe I found this website that includes some possibilities of you trying to make a substitute tahini. Maybe you can try it out ^^ http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/545678

When I first started on myfitnesspal about either a few weeks ago or a month, I was using the recommended calories it told me to eat, which was 1600 for a slightly active lifestyle (I work in retail and walk a LOT at the job). Then, I lost my car to a wreck and relying on my boyfriend for transporatation so I can only work…

I love hummus so much that I even MAKE it when I can't get to the store to get the pre-made stuff. Basically you need Tahini (I've found it at health places, about 6-8 dollars per jar but there's atleast 50+ uses out of that jar since you don't use more than a Tablespoon or two), chickpeas or garbanzo beans, and some oil…

I'm listening to the Bastion (a video game for PC) soundtrack, and listening to this one in particular. Called: "Setting Sail, Coming Home (End Theme)". The music sounds like music you'd hear in Firefly tv series so that's why I like it :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDflVhOpS4E
