Have a new goal not necessary is shedding the weight. I think building up muscle (heavy weight lifting) will help you recompose your body shape and will look better. Keep up with the good work

Don't give up completely, have one while you are out for a nice dinner, or in the movie (not 2). But try not to drink regularly, like daily. Pop is not only bad for your waistline, it also have other healthy hazard. Such as drinking a lot will strip calcium off your bone (nasty...). And when your body cannot handle the…

Listen to your body while workout, if you are…

Hi ladies, good to see everyone doing well. I'll have a regular checkup appointment this Friday, and first trimester screening next Wed. This would be my first time doing the screening (last pregnancy I didn't), a bit nervous. Anyone else has done it or is going to have the screening? Today's weather is much cooler, I've…

I'm naturally a petite size 2-4 (before having my baby weight), not because I "aim" for super thin, but I'm only 5'3" and have really small frame. When I'm close to size 6, I'm over weight. So, it's real for some people to have a smaller size but still super healthy! Remember, it's all about yourself, whatever you feel…

I'm in rush most of the time, so I will have toast, instant oatmeal, bagel, cereal. I also cook some hard boiled eggs, which is very easy to grab one if I need and eat it. When I go shopping for my typical breakfast, I read labels/ingredients. Making sure I pick: * high fiber, high protein cereal * whole grain * natural or…

Too much work to do that, so I eat the whole thing instead, plus you got fiber when you eat the whole thing, like apple with skin...

Depends if you are using the MFP to set your goal or doing a customer setting... Seriously read the following to help you understand how MFP works, and the other one talked about 2 different methods (I call it "MFP" method or "typical trainer's method"): http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/ladyhawk00/view/mfp-basics-78491…

If you find it's annoying and do not wish anyone comment on your diary, either close it, or do not hit the "completed" button. Just my 2 cents

Interesting book. I'm a carb lover too! I will be interested reading it. I agree with you on this is not about looking for any specific diet. My nutritionist / gym trainer told me to read different diet out there to --> get some idea what's they are all about, there is always something to learn.

The way you lose weight should be more careful and different than many younger people here. A great reading "Senior Weight Loss": http://www.livestrong.com/article/244694-senior-weight-loss/

Well, process food is just not good for you. When we get to older age, we won't be able to eat as much and the best way to keep healthy is that every bit you eat should be nutritious food. To enjoy a healthier weight lose and lifestyle, try: * eat whole food * enjoy more fruit and vegetable * eat lean protein * portion…

* treat yourself once awhile * have a meal (like once a week) that you eat whatever you like (I'll still watch portion size, otherwise I feel too stuffed and got very uncomfortable). * reward yourself something for reaching a mini-goal (I don't have it but many people here set mini-goals) * enjoy the healthy food because…
