Are you a caffeine and sugar person? You could try cutting out all caffeine first and then work on cutting down most of your sugars. That should help you find a deeper sleep and you would have more energy in the morning. And if you like shakes add some Maca powder. It's a great boost.

Ha! Yes exacly. Your coworker is totally being an *kitten*. This is great advice. Whole foods, raw foods, unprocessed foods - those should be your snacks and they keep you satisfied for longer. Stay within your calories and you're sorted!

If I only drink water in the day I am always able to stay within my calories. There are so many "hidden" calories in alcohol, soda and even juice. It's crazy what a difference just that can make!

Definitely! 27 miles is great and in 2 and 1/2 hours is even better! Awesome job!

I totally agree with the comments on here. It depends very much on your height and then how much muscle you want to have. I have been hovering between 145 and 150 for a few years but since I've joined MFP and have made an effort to eat less and work out more I have noticed a change in the size of my body...but not my…

I understand that you "let one go" and then the skinny girl who was "working out" walked right by...perfect timing! HA! NSV or Justice? lol

I too am feeling frustrated! I am exercising. Sticking to my calorie goal (for the most part) never over 1500 and usually at 1200. I have not seen any loss. At all. I am trying to just focus on my fitness levels and improvements in that area and not worry about the scale. Even my measurements have stayed the same. I'm not…

WOW!! That's crazy amazing. You're looking great! Keep up the fantastic work :)

I too have a horrible time not eating after supper. I find it best to save some calories for then and also to maybe have a smaller supper so I can eat during the evening...AND...have some low calorie things ready for when I am feeling desperate.
-
YES!!! that is awesome!! You sound like you are doing everything right. All in moderation and working slowly into your exercise. I have only heard great things about the C25K so I hope that works well for you. Soon you'll be having NSV's all OVER the place! All the best.

I'm 5'7" and 147 right now. Ideally 130 and toned.

It such a good thing to hear from others. I have been doing cardio for a month and added weights (p90x) only 2 weeks ago and can already see a difference in body comp BUT not in weight. I'm okay with that if it means a leaner look. Keep up the amazing work! Thanks for the inspirational photos. I think I may have to post…

LOVE p90x! Way to BRING IT!!! Soon you will have diamonds of gold!!!!

The plank will definitely help with any sagging - seriously . Gravity is not going to make much of a difference if you're in that position or standing up or whatever. Plank (when done correctly) works on your core muscles and butt and legs and back...everything. It is a great position for strengthening and toning. Don't…

I would go with the one that states less...just in case!

Cortisol is released when you are feeling jittery, anxious, stressed, have an anxiety disorder etc. and I have also read that consistently elevated levels of cortisol contributes to weight gain/ or makes it hard to lose. So if you have issues with cortisol levels then caffeine is probably something to avoid. What about…

I eat within the first 10 or 15 minutes. It's basically the first thing I do when I get up.

Thanks! I just checked out the site and it looks pretty great. I'm going to try it out!

A can of tuna mixed with pasta sauce and pepper - and I like to put it on Ryvita Original Crispbread! YUM!!!

You will hurt!! Hurting is GOOD!!! It means something is happening! Relish the pain lol. Seriously. Also perhaps a really good hour of proper stretching would help. Drink lots of water and just keep going. Eventually it won't hurt as bad and you'll see an awesome difference. Keep it up!! You won't regret it!!!! (somehow I…

Augh. That sounds really hard. The best you can do is try and tune it out. Avoid conversations surrounding exercise and food and stick to it. Easier said than done obviously I know. I think if you can say NO to your Mom enough times she would eventually get the picture - especially on those occasions where she is trying to…

I haven't tried it... but p90x is worth the money...just in case you were thinking about it.

I also do my same exercises and find the above to be true. At first the run sucks but it is so much better throughout and afterward. They say exercise is one of the best things you can do for cramps. Also - might be worthwhile talking to your OBGYN to see what you can do to relieve them. Ibuprofen an hour or two before…

That is exactly what I did today!!! lol. I think I will start to weigh in bi-weekly. My weight fluctuates so much I don't even know what's real! I also do the thing you were saying about marking your calories at a lesser weight...

Hi! First off - welcome! This site is my favourite and here are my reasons why. 1. If you don't exercise you can still feel good about your calorie intake. You can still lose! 2. When you do exercise it feels like a reward. 3. The community is so supportive and full of information and inspiration. 4. I have found it…

Try only weighing yourself once each week on the same day at the same time AND take your measurements once per month. This way you're not watching your ups and downs but your real results. I find it much more motivating and the night before my weigh in I eat less heavy things to make sure I'm not retaining water or bulky…

I think you should rock the 2 piece. It actually looks better. Bring the one piece in case you're feeling uncomfortable but really - there is no need!

Woop!!! That had to have been an amazing feeling x3!! Amazing. WTG!

Awesome! That is an amazing result after 13 weeks! Keep up the good work :)
