I have become more comfortable with my eating habits and no longer feel ashamed to eat around other people. Also, I have learned to control my portion size and make healthier choices.

I knew that chicken wings were not good for me, but when I looked them up for the first time it was a game changer. Now I will not order them when I go out; a single wing is nearly 100 calories and 7 grams of fat. O_O; When I went out to eat at Applebees I ordered the Chicken Oriental Salad (grilled) as a healthy option;…

I also was a huge Little Ceasars fan! On Tuesdays my brother and I would get two appetizers for the price of one; my favorite was the Italian cheesy bread, which I would eat an entire box by myself. Looking back, that is close to my daily limit of calories and sodium by itself. :o Calories 1,560 Total Fat 72 g Cholesterol…

I bought myself a hrm when I hit my 10lb waitloss and also an armband to hold my cellphone while walking. :)

Same thing happened to me; after quitting I gained back the 15lbs that I had lost over the course of a year. When I first quit I would get cravings a lot for snacky foods with tons of sugar and salt; I think it was my body's way of fighting the cravings. I am proud to say that it has been over a year since I quit and I…

While on spring break I binged and ate an entire bag of jelly beans over the course of one day. Would you believe it was over 900 calories!?!?! OMG!!!!!!!! Last time I eat anything without looking at the label; I should have known but will learn from my mistake.

My diary is open and I am a daily logger as well. Looking for motivated friends; feel free to add me.

I agree that it may be in your best interest to seek professional help concerning your ED. Personally I suffer from binge eating and emotional eating; it was not until I dealt with the problems that were stressing me out that I was able to escape the mental prison of these disorders. The scale can be your enemy; if you…

Your perseverance is so inspirational! I also hit a plateau about 5 pounds ago so understand what you are going through. Looking good; you can really tell a difference. :)

My recommendation is to start out small. I have had several failed attempts at being healthy and normally I derail myself because I try to go overboard. Make small changes to your routine and add healthy options to your current lifestyle. For example, I switched from 2% milk to 1%, then skim and finally almond milk over…

I don't miss waking up in the middle of the night with acid reflux.

Awesome! Keep up the good work. :)

This happened to me as well! I found that once I increased my protein that the cravings subsided. :)

Here's how I do it: 1 glass of water when I wake up 2 glasses of water between 10am-12pm 1 glass of water before lunch 2 glasses of water between 12pm-2pm 1 glass of water before dinner 1 glass of water before bed Also, I generally drink about 3 glasses of water when I workout so some days I go over 8.

I would like to start out by asking a few questions: How many glasses of water are you drinking each day? Do you eat at the same time each day or does it vary? How long do you wait between meals/snacks? You are getting plenty of protein so that should not be the problem, make sure to monitor this especially before you work…

I had the same reaction when I first tried greek yogurt (it was the plain kind). I have found that oikos and dannon make some awesome varieties with fruit on the bottom; the mango one is my favorite. You could also try mixing a low fat granola or perhaps almonds in it to enhance the texture?

I just use PB2; technically it is a powder but you mix it with water. Tastes just like the real thing and is made from peanut powder so it is a very healthy substitute. Comes in both traditional and chocolate and is awesome in pancake batter!
-
Have you considered using almond milk? I mix it with EAS soy based protein powder; the vanilla is my favorite.

It's all about moderation; just make sure to limit fried foods and things that are high in calories. Drink plenty of water to help with adjusting to eating less and when all else fails try eating some veggies or a piece of fruit. I would not go crazy and binge but take your time adjusting to this new lifestyle. For me, I…

Hey guys! I am on day 6! It is such a relief to not have to check the scale this last weigh in (Friday), but also I feel scared that the numbers will go up when I hit 30 days. I have decided to start doing weekly measurements to keep track of my progress. The reason I joined this group in the first place is because I had…

As long as I am healthy it does not matter what size I am. :) On a serious note, I wore a size 10-12 last time I weighed 160lbs so that sounds about right.
