She definitely needs to be drinking half her body weight in oz, if not more. Most don't drink enough water to begin with. Even though I've lost 70 lbs, I still am drinking the same amount as when I was 236 lbs. My body craves it. If I drink 1/2 my body weight for my current weight, I end up making up for it on other days.

Mine is set @ 2 lbs/week & have no problem dropping the weight. I have cheat meals/days once the weight is dropped. Then, it's back to the grind, usually of about 10 days at a time to drop. It just depends on how quickly you want to lose the weight. With your workouts, I think you've just been eating too much. I have my…

People in Colorado (not biased) are more fit than other states with outdoor activities, based on research. I like to go on Trail Ridge Rd for a drive & hike taking lots of pretty pics. Denver & the western mountains are getting slammed with a lot of snow right now. Most of the ski areas are pretty close to each other,…

Something else to add or adjust…Are you drinking half (if not more) than your body weight in oz for water? Definitely eat more potassium (mostly found in veggies) to offset the sodium intake. You will feel more full & will have less cravings for other stuff. Do you have a heart rate monitor? I know you are exercising, but…

That's so awesome!! I wear a size 10 now, too, starting from a 20!! Isn't it a nice feeling!!?? Add me if you'd like!! :)

I love my support team here on MFP! Add me if you'd like. :)

Welcome back!!! Add me if you'd like! :)

I love you spunkiness on your profile pic!!! The strength training doesn't really get logged as actual minutes. I don't really look @ how many minutes I workout, what matters are the calories burned, tracking it on my hrm. I usually workout about 90 minutes/day also. Add me if you'd like. :)

I agree totally with your post. I have been overweight for more than 10 years, never trying to lose weight. But, it wasn't until 8 months ago when I realized I turned 40 this year & have my 20th wedding anniversary (2 major milestones in the same year) for me to get serious. It was as though the light finally came on! My…

I love it!! The further you are from your goal weight, the easier it is to lose the weight quickly!! Congrats!!!!

I stopped watching my sugars for this reason!! Instead, I watch my potassium, making sure that number is high enough to offset the sodium in foods. You are going to do great, just because you are paying attention!! :)

You should drink more than 1/2 your body weight in oz for water daily. If you have a high sodium day, drink more water to flush out the sodium. But, you can also up your potassium (bunny food) to neutralize the sodium intake. And, being hydrated with plenty of water does reduce your fat cells. When you are dehydrated, your…

Instead of throwing in the towel, get mad & proactive to eat less or burn more calories. I weigh myself daily, just to make sure that what I'm doing is making a difference. I do have cheat meals or days, but I know that with water (more than 1/2 my body weight in oz), that the fat cells cry, shrivel up, & die! Are you…

130 is a great goal! I have the same goal weight also! You can do this! You've come so far!! Add me if you'd like!

I love these ideas!! I think I need to have my mom fix a salad (a real salad-not jello fluff) in addition to the green bean casserole!! :)

Why would you think that you are too heavy? Running or even walking are great ways to slim down your thighs & hips, running just makes you lose it faster! lol I started running about at the weight you are at right now. Just keep going & wear your heart rate monitor for accuracy!! <3 Add me if you'd like! :)
-
YAY!! My goal weight is 130 (my weight 20 years ago when I got married). I'm getting closer!! Add me, if you'd like! :)
-
I totally get you!! The closer I get to my goal weight, the harder it is to lose the weight, but that just means I have to workout harder for it to happen! lol Do you wear a heart rate monitor? It could be that you are underestimating the calories burned &/or eating too much of your workout. Weigh yourself daily to make…

Whenever the scale doesn't behave, I drink extra water (more than 1/2 my body weight in oz) & eat more potassium (bunny food) to get rid of the sodium. When I first started more than 8 months ago, I ached a lot. But, as I have stayed consistent with my burns, the pain/soreness is a lot less. Stay with it!! Tell your body…

I honestly believe that one of the reasons why I've succeeded is from my large support team here. Add me if you'd like. :)

I think counting calories is more important than counting carbs. My macros are set @ 30/30/40 for carbs/protein/fat. But, I pay more attention to calories than carbs & still lose weight. Carbs are even found in veggies!!! :) Add me if you'd like. :)

Plan your meals out ahead of time. Shoot for higher in protein vs carbs, as protein will keep you full longer. A good goal to have is 1/2 your body weight in grams for protein. Two or three hard boiled eggs for breakfast is about 210 calories & will keep you full, if not add some turkey sausage links (3 for 100 calories).…

With 106 lbs to lose total, I've lost 68 lbs in 8 months. I ditched all sodas for about a month & drank only water. Now, I have a coke once every 3-4 weeks. I used to drink a 2liter a day. I drink more than half my body weight in oz for water, upped my potassium intake with a lot of veggies & salads (bunny food), started…

I started out @ 236 in March & am now @ 168, 68 lost so far. You can do this!!! Add me if you'd like!! :)

I'm not at 152 yet, but the closer you get to your goal weight the harder it will be to drop the weight. So, you need to make drastic changes. What works for me when I'm determined to drop: eat tons of salads & veggies (bunny food), upping my potassium, sweat more (about 1000 calories/day), & make sure I drink more than…

If you are craving sugar & chocolate, you are lacking magnesium. If you increase your leafy greens &/or black beans, you're cravings will reduce. :) Add me if you'd like. :)

Anything is possible!!! Just depends on how bad you want it! The weight will come off as long as you create a big enough deficit in your calories. If not, you must work out more with a hrm, eat more bunny foods (salads & veggies), & drink more than half your body weight in oz for water. It totally can be done!! Pounds are…
