We like our salmon spicy! Spray it with a cooking spray and then sprinkle with a liberal amount of cayenne (red) pepper, white pepper, garlic powder, a touch of sea salt, and a sprinkling of lemon juice. Throw on the grill for ~8 - 10 minutes until flaky. Serve over a spicy brown rice. I cook the brown rice in Rotel and…

It was for me. We spoil the grandsons a little, but not too much and enjoy our lives. Adult children can be joys and terrors, but as adults, they get to fend for themselves!

The Viactiv are also good. They are a chewable chunk of chocolate or caramel.

HPT positive at about 4.5 to 5 weeks past LMP. No symptoms until about 5 - 6 weeks along and mine was morning sickness.

Thanks everyone.

I take Viactiv multivitamin, Viactiv calcium chews. D3, fish oil, and a B complex every week day. I usually forget on the weekends. Osteoporosis runs in the family, I am the first one to not have a diagnosis by early 40s. The multi, calcium, and D3 are doctor ordered. The fish oil along with diet and exercise are attempts…

I'll start by saying that now that the nest is empty, I am a little spoiled. I get a massage at least once every 4 weeks and a pedicure at least once every 6 weeks (even in winter). I also splurge and go to a good salon for my hair cuts from the same person every 6 weeks. No more $10 hair cuts that may or may not be right.…

What is the worst advice you have ever seen? Please explain.

Honey is a type of sweetener and has about the same number of calories as processed sugars. I would use it in moderation as it can be a substitute for processed sugar. I would go with just fruit to get my "sweet" fix if you want to be sugar-free. You need calcium. Here is a short article on the use of honey:…

Pico de Gallo is a great "dressing" for salads. Olive Oil, vinaigrette, spices (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, etc.), and cilantro makes a great dressing. I really like just a little sea salt, fresh pepper, and fresh lemon or lime juice. Want a sweeter taste, use fresh orange juice.

Hi all. Everyone seems to be doing great. I am still fighting heat and knees, so it is a variety of cardio and yoga for me. Just finished the high intensity Core Rhythms workout. 25 minutes of ab busting high energy aerobics. I am already feeling the abs and I just finished 20 minutes ago :P I think that I will do this one…

Throw in some strength training if you want to build muscle. I rarely am sore due to running/walking.

Daddy Hinkle's All Natural Seasoning & Rub--Several varieties out there. I use the Spicy Pepper and Sea Salt.

How is everyone doing? It is still too hot here to be outside (105 F today). I have been doing yoga and walking in the building on breaks and lunch time. Hoping to get to the jogging ASAP.

I love attending most conferences. You learn so much from the content and the travel!

I have a pair of Sketchers and love them for the comfort. My feet and knees do not hurt wearing them. Do they help tone? I doubt it, but they are comfortable and I think they are cute shoes to wear with jeans.

Everyone is doing great. Keep working hard!

I was there for the International Society for Business Education conference. TAFE (both Albury and Wodonga), LaTrobe, and Charles Stuart were the host institutions.

Congrats on the 12 pounds. Postcards from anywhere are exciting, so don't sell UT short! I'm starting at 179.6 this morning.

The article came from http://shine.yahoo.com/event/loveyourbody/5-fitness-myths-you-need-to-forget-2176725/. Yahoo pulled it from a book. You can check out the book to find the studies used to back up their claims.

Yeah for Pixie. My knees are killing me! Repeat Week 1 next week for me. I may be too old for running

Way to go Sherri! I need to get busy!

In general, add a band size to drop a cup size. This often works for me if I can't find the right cup size, I can go to a larger band and smaller cup, i.e. 36D or 38C. This may not work for everyone, but is worth a try.

When does round 6 begin?

Good for you Pixie!

OK, 106 air temp and the AC was out in the gym causing it to close due to excessive heat. So, home and did core workout instead of C25K day 1. Maybe tomorrow. :grumble:

With temperatures hovering around 105 and heat indices of 115+, I had to wait until I returned to work today to use the air conditioned gym. I will start Week 1 Day 1 this afternoon. Congrats to those who have started already!

Hi everyone, back in the USA and ready to get started (almost). Jet lag is kicking my butt today. I was in Australia for this conference Charm. My first trip down under. Even in winter, I was thrilled with the scenery. Spent time in Albury-Wodonga and Sydney. I walked between 5 and 15 miles each day while gone, but the…
