hroush is right, there's really nothing that great about slimfast shakes. Actually, they aren't even that good for you. The reason they work is just because they are low cal; whenever you're cutting your back on calories, you will lose weight. Everyone loses more drastically the first couple weeks they change their habits,…

I'm not sure about green tea making you lose weight, but it does have a cleansing effect on the body and is full of antioxidants. You should want to drink it for its other health benefits...lowers cholesterol, regulates blood sugar, soothes stomach and digestive system, boosts your immune system, and can help prevent…

If you're a college student, I would head over to the gym all the school's athletes use. There are the regular trainers as well as students in the process of becoming athletic trainers who can assess your body fat either the old fashioned way with calipers, or they may have a body fat analyzer to use on you. Personally I…

Insanity definitely does make me sore. I actually just restarted now that I have more time and less physical demands from my job so that I think I can actually get through the whole program. I feel it in my chest, my back, my arms, quads, calves...I basically wake up the next morning feeling like I got a whole body…

If you are getting 114 oz a day, that is great! Unless you're really sweating it out at the gym I don't think you necessarily need to drink more...eventually when you drink a ton your body is just going to flush it right out...after a certain point it's not doing much besides keeping you from feeling hungry. I don't think…

Maybe for now I'd say try to get the ChaLEAN Extreme going every single day instead of off and on to push through the program. You'll probably see more effective results and gain better conditioning and endurance for P90X. Really if you compare the two programs, they will both help you lose weight but are quite different.…

AMAZING! You look like a completely new woman, congratulations!!

Agreed! They worked hard and pushed through all their problems to get there. The trainers were great and I thought they took the right approach to help both people get where they needed to be. The female trainer's guns were insane, I want them too, haha! I also agree 100% with the person who enjoyed seeing them continue…

I'm a shorty! 5'2", floating right about 109 as of today. Mostly here to get stronger rather than lose more weight, I have a goal this year to get a six pack!

Yep, that will definitely keep me away!

And there it is! Right after I post that...you guys are mind readers. Love the spots!

Hope you will post that picture some time, leopard print sounds so cool, I wanna see it! Congrats to you girl!!!

I come from a family who doesn't really obsess over anything to do with diet and exercise. I try to eat healthy, and I enjoy working out. With my average daily routines, of course I steer myself in the right direction and maintain good habits, but you know what? Thanksgiving should be a day of thanks, and celebration. Not…

Even nice HRMs like the Polars aren't meant to be worn all day long. They are accurate for your workout, but not for tracking an entire day's worth of general activities. Not to say you are or aren't burning 5000, but this could have something to do with the data you're getting.

BUMP....these sound so good can't wait to try them out!

I include mine as water as long as I'm not adding anything like a sweetener to it!

I burn around 300-350 for the regular workouts, and I just finished my second week. I haven't gotten to the second month DVDs although I'm sure those will burn more. I wear a Polar FT7 heart rate monitor when I do the workouts, and it is really accurate. Just for reference I'm in pretty good shape and am in a very healthy…

I guess as far as the sweating goes I'm just a little more than average, but I get the very red face when working out. I expect it during exercise, but the one thing I've found that helps me get back to normal at the end of my workouts is a really good, long cool down. If I am pushing it on the treadmill and really working…

Most of the time I have mine with water and not milk if I'm in a hurry and just need to throw it in the shaker cup instead of blending it with other things. I've found that I like the texture better when I make it in the blender though. What kind of milk are you using? It could be changing the thickness of the shake. I…

Alma, Michigan...so, an hour and a half away...I think our MI MFP numbers will be growing though, I have friends slowly coming around and making profiles on here!

An easy time is in the morning, after you go to the bathroom, before you eat your breakfast. Depending on your daily routine, I think morning weigh ins are good because you can keep it pretty consistent. The longer you wait into the day, the more you eat, drink, and so on. Like others say it doesn't really matter as long…

This looks amazing!

I do because this website already puts you at a deficit. Mostly everybody here has there's set to 1200, which is also the minimum of what you should have for the day, bottom line. If you exercise and don't eat anything back, you are putting yourself way below minimum nutrition for the day! I love getting to work out…

I'm on my first week of Insanity, and the nice thing about it is that it's major cardio and no extra equipment required. I use a Polar FT7 heart rate monitor to keep track of my heart rate (it takes your current, max, average etc and summarizes it at the end of the workout for you) and calories burned. It is intense but I…

I do chocolate Shakeology; 17g of protein, 140 calories, and a ton of healthy ingredients. It's good as is mixed only with water and ice, and I love the recipes that go with it to keep the flavor from getting old, hope this helps you out!

Hey there!!! Today will be day 2 for me (I am just about to start my workout as soon as I finish writing this). Day 1 left me super sore and that was just the fit test! I consider myself to be fairly in shape but wow the day after is killer and I have a feeling the first couple weeks are going to be the worst. I will be…

I'd be interested to hear recommendations as well, I have tried both the regular women's One A Day and the active version as well and both give me a stomach ache, and I even wait until after I've eaten both breakfast and lunch. I think I also read someone else post on here about the One A Day vitamins being synthetic and…

I agree with the leggings, they are a cheap buy at tons of places, come in a variety of colors, and you can take old sweaters, tunics, cardigans etc and belt them over the leggings for a more fitted look. Since they are stretch they are less size specific than other things like denim and you can get good use out of them as…

Ok...stop right there! For starters, look at what you have accomplished so far on your journey!! I can guarantee you that your success is helping not only you, but so many others here at MFP. To see someone start where you started and move on to where you are now is an amazing thing. Just to see before and after pictures…
