Hey there! I'm 22, and I've just started my weight loss plan, too. I eat pretty healthy (haven't gone to eating clean yet, alas), but I love to exercise and I'd love to chat if you ever need advise or support! You can do it!

I'm absolutely talking about those dole whips. My mom doesn't like them (she prefers getting a chocolate chip ice cream cone on Mainstreet) but I loovvee them.

Thanks for all the advice, guys! I'll definitely log my walks, and I'll see if I can't do some research on portion sizes and calories of planned meals before I go. I just dread coming back from a week and finding all my hard work thus far gone down the drain! It sounds like maybe I was worrying a bit too much :)

I won't die if I don't step on it every day (my mother weighs herself religiously every morning, and often complains about how she gained a pound…

Also remember that if you're used to big meals, your stomach is getting used to the change and more reasonably sized portion, so it's normal to be a teeny bit uncomfortable... But you shouldn't be hungry all the time! My first week of dieting was very hard for me, and part of that was because I have Binge-eating disorder,…

I don't know about the "science stuff", I can only give advice based off of what I know... And that is that I have felt a whole lot healthier and looked and felt a lot less tummy bloated after I gave up diet soda. I used to drink soda to curb my sweet cravings: I could go through a liter of diet mountain dew a day. I just…

I'm 22, and hoping to lose around 40 lbs. Is that close enough? ;)
