After a few days off, I did my 5th day of Level 1 today. I also followed that with 25 minutes of jumping rope. I have to burn off all that gravy and stuffing and mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie and...:tongue: :tongue: :tongue:

My understanding is that a "rest & recovery day" means taking a break from strenuous activity. So it all depends on your personal fitness level. A nice walk, jog, leisurely swim or bike ride would be okay if you are moving in a pleasant and comfortable fashion. You want to give your muscles a "rest" so that they can…

It may only be 30 minutes, but some of it is intense. Whenever you do something strenuous, your muscles need an opportunity to recover or you may end up with injuries. Jillian says to take at LEAST one day off a week. Who am I to argue with THE BOSS? :laugh:

I finished yesterday. Down 3 lbs., 1/2 inch on my bust, 1/2 inch on my waist, and 1/2 inch on my hips. More importantly, I have much greater strength, stamina and muscle definition!

We must be "fitness twins!" :bigsmile: I also struggle with form on side lunges...they just feel awkward to me. And I find that other move you described..."hollow man" pulls on my back a lot. I can't seem to keep my lower back on the floor doing that as well. Edited to add: I also have done 2 days worth of Level 1 so far.

Wasn't able to get a workout in yesterday. Today I did Level 3 (my 9th time doing Level 3) and then I did Ripped in 30 Level 1. Only one more workout and I will have done the 3 Levels each 10 times! :bigsmile:

Olalola, I haven't been feeling 100% this week either! That being said, I took yesterday "off" from any "real" workout. I don't have a gym membership and we do not own a treadmill or other serious execise machine. However, I take a brisk walk most everyday. Been feeling crummy all weekend. Woke up today w/ a headache and sinus pressure. YUCK! :grumble: But...I took a painkiller, decongestant, and expectorant, waited a while for them to kick in and did my level 3 workout anyway. :wink:

I'll be glad to post my start and finish weight and measurements when I'm done if other folks will! I can also give some fitness improvements...like number of push-ups, how long I can hold a plank, etc.
