Actually - following my older post - not many men who have or have suffered from a low libido are going to post about it on a forum - OP - don't assume that your husband is unusual because most of the guys who talk about their sex drive talk about how good it is!

Sometimes random strangers on the internet are a better choice to vent to than close friends and family who are too involved to give an objective opinion and often too embarrassing to discuss with at all. I do agree that the quality of advice has been mixed.... (edited for grammar)

I use KY or baby oil - I'm told Body Glide is the best but its a bit expensive. DON'T USE VASELINE - it will make it perish. (Genuine conversation in the pub about getting in and out of wet suits for triathlon.)

I'm going to speak from my own experience here, so I hope you find it helpful as this isn't an easy thing to write about. I've been with my partner for 12 years, and been married for the last 7. Like any relationship we've had our ups and downs - personally I hate confrontation and will always walk away from an argument if…

All the above and... Get into the habit of doing a proper stretch after each workout. Compression clothing: I have compression tights I wear during and/or after long runs: they really help with muscle recovery. Roller and massage balls: - easy to find on line including instructions on how to use them Cold baths: After a…

Hey - this time a year and a half ago I would have been proud of 100 miles of cycling in a month! Just saying - I might be better off targeting exercise cals than miles given my current sports mix.

This week: Saturday - 9 miles running Sunday - 43 mile bike ride Monday - 5 miles running Tuesday - 20 mile mike ride Wednesday - 5 miles running (5K as a race!) = 82 miles Tonight should be about 16 miles cycling and 3 miles running Friday will be about a mile of swimming... I'm going to need a bigger challenge... I think…

Personally I think you can and will do both in parallel - long runs increase your endurance which then gives you strength and confidence to do short runs faster - which improves the efficiency of your running so your long runs get quicker: its a positive circle! I'm a big fan of the Half Marathon distance: its an…

I find myself hungry the day after running rather than same day. Best cure for me is lean protein post run...

Dehydration, Under eating and generally doing too much CV work can wipe you out - especially if its a hot day. Make sure you have rest days, eat something before you run (I normally have about 200 calories 2 hrs before training) and if its hot take fluid with you. On long runs (over 8 miles) I normally consume 100 calories…

Oh, and if you are learning - watch the Olympic swimming and do a bit of analysis of what they are doing: its amazing to see how calm they look even going at full speed - especially when you compare the under water shots to the above water shots: its those few micro seconds as they reach forward with their arms before…

Love it :) Its amazing how different we look isnt it?

What are your long term goals? The consensus is that Crawl burns the most calories, and its also the best for you from a posture/ injury perspective (breast stroke isn't great if you have back problems): its also the recommended stroke for Triathlons as its predominantly arm based as oppose to breast stroke which is leg…

Not trying to put a downer on this but I expect the reason its dropping so fast is the same reason you gained so quickly: its not all fat. That said - be consistent for the next few weeks and see what happens. Don't be surprised if the speed of loss decreases and on some days you see (temporary) gains.

It really depends on you: the gym offers more variety - including classes, free weights etc, the treadmill/elliptical offers more flexibile access and will be cheaper in the long run. You need to choose the option which will work for you. One thing: we bought a £900 elliptical second hand for £200 and its perfect have a…

Weighing yourself daily is fine - good even - because it shows you how much you fluctuate - even if you follow the same routine daily! I fluctuate by 2-3 lb: Women tend to fluctuate even more. Look at over all trends week on week... there is a nice graph on the web site and the iPhone app (not sure about the rest): Look at…

Looks like you are taking on board all the advice :) good for you. now just give it rime to work - it may take a month before you find a good pattern but you will get there.

I hope this doesn't sound too harsh but I think being direct is sometimes important: You aren't logging correctly. In fact, my guess is that you are doing something I did for several weeks - in which time I gained - You are using estimates (closest matched food, rough size for portion...) which means you feel entitled to…

Say Hi to Superman and Thor for me. Actually, can you apologise to them - I had to throw out the Avengers and the Justice League from my lounge last week as my parents were coming over and I needed somewhere for them to sit.... Oh, and if you see him, can you tell Batman I still have the keys to the Batmobile.... Next time…

It doesn't seem like you are in a position where anything you do will be 'right'. If you want a serious relationship with the guy you have to tell him that. Tell him if he want to sleep with her he should have the guts to split up with you first - and f he doesn't then you have to trust him.

Jealous! My next race is the Doug Anderson Memorial 5K at Bedford (UK) next Wednesday. More excitingly - I will be booking flights and Hotel for the Lake Garda 15K on October 14th TONIGHT.
