No worries. I bump this and a few other discussions we've had once a month to the top. I sometimes think I should do it more often but that could quickly become tedious for people who have been in the group for a while.

I guess I just assumed people would friend one any member with whom they felt a connection based on what people post here in the group. It never occurred to me to ask.

@dford5 I forget that we both started our rounds on the same date. LOL! @Lauracharder This is my third round and the first two rounds, although I tried to double up a couple of times the first round, I didn't succeed. On my second round, I didn't even try to double up. But I obviously am giving it a go this third round.…

Exercise Round 2 I guess since I'm doubling up this week (I hope I can keep it up, anyway), I'll be checking in twice a day. Just as well because I guess I never mentioned I'm doing a couple of challenges on top of 21 Day Fix and PiYo. Soooo . . . ummm . . . yeah. I'm doing this Abs Challenge:…

What a Difference a Day Makes Was that me, who was disappointed because the scale and tape measure didn't show me numbers that made me happy? 21 Day Fix Total Body Cardio Fix I'm closing in on the end of Round 3. At the beginning of this round, I increased my weights but not for this workout. I just didn't feel ready.…

@dkwi04 You'll have to tell me how much modifying they do in extreme. Since I can't do any high impact and all of my push-ups and planks are modified (not to mention I sometimes have to modify the modification), I am a bit leery of giving it a try. But who knows what I'll be capable of in the next few months . . .

Okay, here's what I'm thinking. I am going to give it a try, aiming to do 21 Day Fix and PiYo in the morning and then doing a second 21DF workout either just before or just after lunch. On most days, I finish my morning workout before 8am (sometimes before 7am) so that should keep them spaced out well enough. But I'm…

There's a great group here on MFP of people using 21 Day Fix: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/103806-21-day-fixers I would definitely encourage you to check it out because you may have more questions as you continue with the program. With that said, what are your doctor's recommendations for you regarding your…

@motherofdragons84 Are you saying you're only using the containers and not the DVDs? If so, you are not alone. While some people are using the DVDs and not the containers, I know that some people use the containers after they have moved onto other DVDs. I plan on doing that while I'm away on vacation. I wasn't sure what…

Another Week of Gaining I saw the numbers on the scale and immediately reached for the tape measure. I'm smart enough to know that the numbers on the scale don't show the whole picture. So imagine how I felt when I saw that I'm gaining inches too. WTF??? Not happy And this is why intrinsic motivation is so important!…

@jpkrueger I'll be doing the 3DR towards the end of June. The 28-30th, to be specific. I'll be finishing up a final round of 21DF before I leave on the 1st to visit my family. So I'll be doing the 3DQF 25-27 June and immediately following it with the 3DR. I want to lose as much weight as I can before I see my mother and my…

@venuila That's such a great loss that I can't help but woohoo! you a second time! :)
-
@venuila GREAT results. Pounds and inches! Awesome!!! Hopefully I can say the same for my round 3. Last time I only had lbs and barely any inches. But doing 21DF and PiYo together definitely works my body. I know I'm getting stronger (even if, unlike you, I can't get through the PiYo workouts yet). I just want to see some…

@dkwi04 I'll lay you odds that the nutritionist will say 1) not enough calories and/or 2) too much protein. I've noticed that 21DF (and other beachbody meal plans) do have more than the RDA for protein but I think that's a good thing so I have no problem with that. And didn't Chalene Johnson say a plateau can last up to…

@jpkrueger A trick I learned when doing the Master Cleanse and drinking the Salt Water Flush is to use a straw. It forces the liquid to the back of the throat. I've actually seen a few people say they LOVE the fiber drink but I suspect more than a few of those were coaches and you know how they can be. ;)

Another Tough Morning Friday is PiYo rest day which is good. My ankle is still sore. Not sure what is going on. It doesn't feel injured, it's more like a strain than a sprain, if that makes any sense. So I just keep using because I don't want it to get stiff. Cardio Fix is getting easier. No. Wait. I'm getting better. I…

@mrsmuckster Not sure what I said that suggested I don't like PiYo. Saying a workout is tough or that I struggle through it doesn't mean I am not enjoying it. Exercise should be challenging otherwise it won't offer any results. As for Jillian Michaels . . .yes and no on the recommendation. Yes, they are effective but, if…

@dixiewhiskey Amazing! @dford5 Also amazing! You both are inspiring me to keep going! Woohoo!

Hate it when I hit the wrong button! I wish I'd had more time this morning to type up everything all over again but I really wanted to get some things done (other than be online all morning) and now I am finally slowing down a bit and can try this again. Remember how much I loathed Pilates Fix? Well, I surprised myself…

Long post just deleted. No time to write it over. Sorry. I'll try to post later today.

@dixiewhiskey Well, I have 30DS and Ripped in 30 (I believe that's the name) so I can alternate them. Plus her DVD for beginners so that's three I could alternate. (And, I think, but don't quote me, my son and his wife have a Jillian Michaels Mother's Day surprise for me. I'll let you know late Sunday or Monday.)

We have a great group here on MFP for people doing 21DF and/or 21DFX: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/103806-21-day-fixers

@jpkrueger What makes you think I'm doing them? LOL! I literally fell on my butt the other day doing the modified version of the PiYo kick through. I mean, honestly, with my balance? C'mon! It'd be nice to believe someday I could do them but for now sometimes it's just enough I'm somewhere on the floor trying to do…

Thank you, @jpkrueger! I had talked with my husband about getting this with the intention of using it the last three days in June, just before I leave for my trip. I really want my mother and step-father to be amazed with my progress. I consider you my back-up coach. If for any reason, the coach I was assigned by beachbody…

Not the Best Start I woke up to a text a friend sent me at close to midnight asking me to wake her at 7am. I am not going to waste time/space venting about this. Suffice to say, I used my frustration to fuel my workout. It's amazing how much softer you can feel after a hard workout! Anyway, 21 Day Fix Lower Fix and PiYo…

@mrsmuckster I will never do Surrenders. My knees were very clear about that the last time I tried. I'm just going to stick with my forward/back-lunge and be content. @nables73 You hit the nail on the head about the courage it takes to post pictures. I was thinking about this whole thread last night and what about it was…
-
@jpkrueger Made perfect sense to me but then I'm in a post lunch coma which is not unlike jetlag and, for all I know, that's the only reason it makes any sense at all.
-
@jpkrueger I noticed. I don't know why but I was sent a copy of Dr Oz's magazine. It might be a gift from my mother who likes to send me magazine subscriptions. Anyway, the May 2015 issue has a spread on what to order at many of the usual chain food places from fast food (Burger King, Dairy Queen, etc.) to national…

@venuila PiYo will definitely tone and strengthen. That's practically all it is. If you don't like yoga and/or Pilates, don't let the PiYo name fool you! I don't care what anyone says. This may be a fusion that's inspired by yoga and Pilates but that's like how some movies are inspired by real events and then just add a…
