Same for me. I've been down for 4 months and just now starting to find myself but my recovery is a long one. I'd like to share stories and encouragement if you're interested. Just know you can do this! We both can.

Hi. I'm from Arizona near Phoenix where our winters are hot and are summers are hell. I'm recently married with three grown kids. Fitness and eating right is my way of life. Lost 17 lbs and now I'm up about 6. Trying new foods, styles and mixing up my exercise with weights, yoga, cardio and swimming. What about you?

I gave it a serious go for just under three months but I also miss my chicken and fish. I will incorporate many dishes but won't be able to be a vegan. I gained weight, fought sleepiness and didn't feel that great. I honor those who can do it

I have been vegan for a little over a month and am struggling with weight gain and how to eat in terms of carbs and or amounts to sustain workouts and so on. Is it high carbs in the morning, throughout the day or what? I was also told to eat large quantities of fruit and it seems like I can't eat so many calories to make…

This is great! I did read about the Olympic bar being stronger and safer for heavy weights. I think that is the way I will go. I will be looking on CL also. Thanks for the list and suggestions. They are very helpful!

That is great to hear! Congratulations on your first week doing SL. I will look into a small set up for my home. I would prefer it, but I also have to consider the space limitations. I will look on CL like you suggested! Thanks again!

I can't believe I just figured out how to check on my very first post over a year ago. Things are going good and I am still down. Thank you for the encouragement so long ago. I just never saw it until now! I hope your journey has been a great one getting better each and every day!

I started today and decided to go with the weight of the bar (45lbs.) and 60 for the deadlift that I did. Try that maybe and adjust based on how you feel. It it is to heavy then back it up or to light add some weight to the bar. All in all you will be able to progress as you continue as long as you don't overdue before you…

Looking at your dairy today I would highly recommend you eat more. Breakfast needs to be way more than just coffee. Are you working out? At what level? Protein/ Carbs/ Fats need to be balanced for your body size to stabilize. If you do not eat enough your body will begin to eat your muscle and I would guess that isn't your…

Ate cautiously today to celebrate at an Italian restaurant in terms of portions, but ate lots of high caloric foods and well over my daily normal intake. I say log it no matter what, I did and if it is your truth then it's okay. Don't stop living, just try to limit it to the one meal and get back on the saddle. Happy…
