I have high blood pressure, I've done the diets, cut back as much sodium as I could, I'm even on meds and have been working out, I still have high normal blood pressure. Mines genetic though, my father had HBP at 30, my aunt's is so severe no amounts of meds can get it down and she walks 5 miles a day and is fit as a…

yes you can lose weight on synthroid as long as you have been regulated properly by your doctor. I was diagnosed with Graves' Disease (I was extremely hyper) in 2009. After my RAI I turned hypo. I get tested every 3 months to make sure my levels are good. I've lost 23 lbs. Also my husband had thyoid cancer back in 2007, a…

If you count my tea in the morning, thats 14 oz, and I drink at least of 3 of my water bottle at that holds 24 oz, so I would say I drink a minium of 86 oz or 10.75 cups/glasses. I love water, always have.

deer heart, beef heart, chicken hearts and gizzards. As a kid we had to eat these as my dad was cheap and we ate a majority of the animal when he went hunting or got a half of beef, I didn't know its as weird until I was an adult, now I wouldn't eat them.

I've noticed a lot a food and recipes on FB, most posted over from Pinterest. I just skip over them. I hadn't thought of blocking the people who post them. I wish I could block some other people for other reasons, lol, but you can't block your inlaws without getting in trouble, LOL!

absolutely love central air, we had it installed in our old house, adds a lot for resale value and comfort (we had a 1224 sq. ft bungalow). We're going to install it in our new house (1,178 sq ft modified bi-level we had built in 2011/12 and moved into last January) once we do the landscaping in the yard which will be this…

I work in an office also, I'm at my desk for 7.5 hours also. I've noticed in the 14 years I've been in the field that my butt's definitely gotten wider. I know that I need to exercise outside of work but its the motivation that's always slipped. But you know, there is no time like the present to get up and at it. That's…

I put a little lemon juice on any rice, I love lemon juice, sometimes I put a simply oil and vinegar dressing on it, like maybe a tsp or two, even like a little greek dressing and feta with cucumber, I find it refreshing.

I used to take Marvelon, took it for years, it worked okay, I did gain about 15 lbs within two months however, I would say it was due to eating more or lack of activity but that would a lie, I'm a clockwork kinda person, nothing changed in my life except that, I had never had a prescription drug before it (I was 25 at the…

I use "Benefibre", I think the generic is inulin (has chickory in it) and have been using it for a few years. The nice thing is that it dissolves in hot and cold liquids, yogurts, you can put it into baking, its flavourless and odorless, but like all extra fibre, you have to drink a lot of liquids to prevent gas etc. I…

I have a couple different outfits a size or two smaller than I am. Those are my motivation outfits. If you're at all like me, if I have a goal and I can see it, then I work harder to make sure I get to it. I agree with the others, you should hang it up in your room where you can see it, great motivation. On a side note in…

I budget between the same $400 and $500 every month for my husband and I. I like to average about $77/week BUT when purchasing meat its always an added cost for us, I don't always purchase meat every week, I do it every couple to few weeks. I've read a few articles that have said that groceries in the last year or two have…

I scored 20. I'm not surprised though. I know I am overweight, about 83 lbs overweight but when I look in the mirror I don't see it. I'm not sure why but my mind sees me at a much lighter, smaller size. It actually wasn't until I saw a picture of myself last fall that I realized what I actually looked like but you know,…

gonna have this try this! I've seen similiar recipes to this, always curious if it was good. I'm not much of a baker, don't eat too many sweets but I love lemon!

I am re-trying it, got it years ago, it worked not bad. Last night was my first night back at it, holy cow it was a workout but really none of the moves is really hard, Jillian is excellent at showing the different levels and booting your butt back into shape. I am sore today, those crazy jumping jacks, who knew, lol, but…

I get most of my chickens from the local hutterite colonies, its as organic as you can get, it far surpasses anything in the supermarket anywhere. It also does not have the water injected nor is it brined which is good because no one needs the added sodium. It makes the best roasted chicken, the most flavourful broths, it…

I started at about 250 lb, size 20-22, dropped 23 lbs so far and am wearing size 16. For me it was the exercise that is helping tone certain areas, like I row 2 to 3 times a week so my shoulders and arms have been my biggest improvement, still have a long way to go on them though. I also bike and walk (am working towards…

My mother has high cholesterol and her doctor advised her to exercise at least 30 minutes a day, increase fibre and drink plenty of water. Hope this helps. I think you should consult your doctor about the liver thing if thats a concern for you, they can actually test for liver functions etc., the year I got married I was…

Good question! I'd like to know the answer. We have two different ones by different companies, I can't remember the brands off the top of my head, but they both give me different readings. Here's my question, how does one weigh themselves correctly? I thought the batteries in my scale were crapping out so I replaced them…

Okay, I LOVE pickles. I love sour, sweet, garlic, no garlic, cucumber, cauliflower, onion, beans, etc. I love them but as a snack. I'm not sure how any one food no matter how low in calories could be healthy enough to eat it all the time to lose weight. The body needs its vitamins, minerals, proteins, sugars etc. I think…

I'm going to seriously give it a go, last week I did 300 jumping jacks and if I could do that, I should be able to do this! Thanks for the motivation to get up and get movin'!

Good luck! I've never been a huge sugar fan, we never had sweets in our house growing up, I'm not really into them now. I know it'll be a struggle in the beginning but it will be worth it in the end. Keep up the good work! :flowerforyou:

6 - 7 days a week, I have an office job where I'm sitting ALL day so I try to get in at least 30 to 90 minutes a day whether it be cycling, walking (just starting to work up to jogging), rowing and sometimes Zumba.
