  • I have found that since turning 26 it is nowhere near as easy as it used to be to lose weight. I've been struggling to shed the last 15lbs too. Not much help, but you're not alone :)
  • Add another 2.5lbs to that number!!
  • Damn straight! You stick to your method and you show him!
  • OP, i don't think people are being intentionally rude, people are taking a very severe tone to try and make you realize what a bad idea this is; if you want to lose 7lbs of FAT a day and not just water, you would need to burn 3500 calories a day ON TOP of however many calories are in your juice. Unless you're some sort of…
  • I'm the same, i think there is no point in eating if i'm not hungry; as long as you still eat at least 1200cals a day, i figure it should be fine. But i have no scientific evidence to back me up there, so others may (and maybe quite rightly) disagree!
  • I bloat stupidly easily. I bloat if i eat too much, i bloat if i'm hungry, i bloat if i eat a lot of wheat, a bloat at my TOM....hate it. I would say it's probably nothing serious and your body adjusting to a new diet. Keep a track of when it occurs, maybe you'll notice if there is something specific which triggers it off.
  • I found that after being so big for so long, i just couldn't see all the weight i had lost; from a size 14 to a size 8/10, so i knew i must look thinner, but being so used to looking in the mirror and seeing fat, that that is all i saw for a good few weeks after. I just....wasn't used to seeing slimmer me! I would also…
  • I just wanted to say that in the past few months i've seen a fair bit of nastiness on these forums from time to time, but good for you OP; you asked an honest question with honest intentions, and people used that as an excuse to rag on your relationship which was not the subject of your question. Instead of rising to it,…
  • Great job everyone! I managed a 2lb loss this week, unexpected but very happy with it! We rock!
  • My goal is to lose 2lbs, but i would be happy with 1lb, and to burn reach over 2000 cals burned each day of the weekend, (in total, not excluding calories from eating, 2000 no matter what i eat). This is just because i tend to burn that Mon-Fri because i have quite an active job, but the weekends i tend to just slob out…
  • Whenever anyone arranges a meeting with me at work, i offer to go to them rather than have them come to me, as it's an excuse to get out of the office and walk :)
  • Haha, i have the same issue-i'm in an office of people who LOVE biscuits, meaning that the biscuit tin is always full; biscuits are my biggest weakness too, so it does get difficult. Seeing as i know that is probably going to happen, i work it into my daily calorie allowance. And i remind myself that they will always be…
  • I'm in! As it's Friday, as of this morning i weighed in at 125.25lbs-a 2lbs loss this week :)
  • Oooooh, check out the TROLL! Nice try, but every woman and doctor and scientist out there will disagree with you, and i'm sure a lot of them are going to very verbally disagree with you on this thread, so job well done from your perspective. The most difficult for me is halfway through my cycle and a few days before i'm…
  • I don't bother counting calories when i drink; i'm very well behaved the rest of the week, i have a stressful, full-time job and i'm studying a Masters on top of that so god damnit i deserve some fun! But saying that, it's easy for me because i stick to diet coke and vodka; it's cheap and it has low calories and i like it.…
  • I'm a terrible binger and i have a love of all things unhealthy! It has ruined my diet efforts so many times in the past! Now, i accept the fact that i will probably have a few biscuits at work during the day, just because i love them and i am the one in charge of keeping the biscuit tin filled (lol), so i count them into…
  • I have a little jewellery scale which i carry around with me to weigh food, works a treat :)
  • Ooh, could you post the link to the group for this please-can't find it searching in groups!
  • Yep, i also have exactly 30lbs to lose as of this morning, so i'm most deifnitely in!
  • Since i've put on a stone, i've found that social situations are daunting; i'm constantly thinking all my friends will notice i've put on weight, and they may not say anything but just the fact that they've noticed is a terrifying thought. It genuinely makes me feel miserable when confronted with the thought of a large…
  • My mum thinks i'm too skinny....i'm definitely not, but i have lost a lot of weight and she just isn't used to me this size. Although i have put on about a stone recently, (fell off the wagon), but she came out with; "Oh, you look like you've put on weight!" She meant it as a compliment, but considering that stone i've put…
  • iI'm going through EXACTLY the same thing, i only had about 10lbs to go, and now have got myself stuck in the mindset of 'screw it, i want chocolate!' and have managed to ruin all my good work! It's very hard to get back into that mindset once you've had a few days of not caring, even when you can see the scale creeping…
  • I love the instant gratification you get when eating. And i use it to make me feel better in bad situations. I just don't have the willpower to resist it sometimes, and unfortunately it usually lasts for a few days before i get it under control again.
  • I'm aiming for a flat stomach for life :p But seriously, my stomach has always been the area i dislike the most. I know you can't spot reduce, but i have noticed it shrinking, or at least becoming more defined since i started lifting. I'm not going to set a goal like that because i will just get disheartened if i don't…
  • Cafeaulait7....please change your profile picture....it's making me seriously crave something hideously chocolatey! :p My main motivation comes when i see that i have lost a bit of weight or i see i'm getting fitter, which when you have just started out isn't much use i'm afraid. When i can run for that extra couple of…
  • What was the question? Some of us aren't glued to our computers 24/7. Also, a lot of us who have been here a while are used to the same questions being asked over and over again, to the point where we just don't even bother answering them because clearly the OP hasn't bothered to use the 'search' function to see if their…
  • I was in that situation with my ex. He would LITERALLY force chocolate and crisps down my throat and find it hilarious. My advice is stick to your guns. Not only is it about you losing weight and being happier, it's the principle of it; YOU want to do this for YOU, YOU wnat to be healthier and happier and feel more…
  • Right now i love my thighs; especially in these killer new boots i bought yesterday!! :p
  • I used to be a size 16, i'm now between a size 6 and a size 8 (UK). I can't tell you how much more confident i feel knowing i can (almost) wear whatever i want and nto worry about how i look in it, just how much lighter and more mobile i feel, how it's so refreshing not to have legs covered in sores because they rub…
  • Totally relate to this post; i managed to power through stage 2 and am now on stage 3, almost at my goal weight and your right about the exercise; now it's 'where in my day do i have time to exercise?' rather than 'do i have time to exercise today?' and i LOVE IT! Keep up the good work :)
