  • Thank you so very much, everyone, I'm quite overwhelmed by all your kind words
  • Yes, "before" pictures can initially be so very painful to look at! :'(. It took me many months before I had the courage to post mine openly and especially showing my face. But down the track I was sooo glad I did take them because, while they really jolt you into a very scary and sad reality, there's also *Nothing* that…
  • I've done both, the ultimate goal in my profile/ticker and I have listed short term goals on my profile page. I think short term goals do help staying motivated and will prevent you from getting overwhelmed by the long term ultimate goal.
  • Thank you again, MFPers  A number of people have asked for details about how I lost the weight in Messages as well as here so I've now decided to write my first ever blog which you can find here: myfitnesspal.com/blog/CeddysMum/view/how-i-lost-my-50-kgs-110-lbs-in-less-than-2-years-d-728670 I hope this will help…
  • This is a never ending discussion  I asked my GP and he told me it's the *fluid* intake that matters, including any coffee, tea etc. so while I do drink a lot of water, I'm counting all of it
  • Thank you again  Funny you should say that! I was just thinking the other day that first pic very much is how I remember my late grandmother in her 70s - OMG!!! :o
  • Crank up your favourite music and dance, dance, dance whichever way you enjoy it  ... that's my main cardio now -> it works and it's FUN. In fact, just for the fun of it, I've just recently started to dance around when doing other stuff (e.g. brushing my teeth, making the bed, cooking, doing dishes etc) in addition…
  • Again, Thank you so much everyone!!! :D <3
  • My condolences for your loss! As to your friend, I've been where you are, in my case it was (what I thought was) close family who'd let me down in my time of need. It is a painful and heartbreaking experience I don't wish on anyone. You will heal from it, provided you don't allow it to eat you up inside, and you will be…
  • WOWOWOW!!!!! Thank You So Much, everyone!!!      Having become an inspiration to others is such a rewarding experience as well and in turn that truly is a HUGE inspiration to me!!! I am really happy if my success helps others the way other success stories have helped me when I…
  • Thank you so much <3 :D :D :D
  • Crank up your favourite music and dance, dance, dance (currently my favourite cardio :) )
  • Provided there are no health issues causing it, I'd consider it normal after losing a lot of weight. Last winter (it's summer here, Down Under) I was Freezing all the time after having lost much of my "blubber".
  • Thank you again  And thank you for posting those cakes, the good thing is that these kinds of cakes won't wreck my calorie count LOL
  • LOL, got your attention, though B) Thank you again, everyone <3 , and Happy New Year to all!! Now for those last few pounds and then the next challenge -> maintaining
  • Thank you everyone :D Yes, I feel absolutely incredible, healthy, happy, confident and Yes, I'm very proud of myself B) My tip for newbies is to find what works for you, MFP gives us the tools (Thank You, MFP!!!!!) but we each have our own journey. The most important: Never Ever give up!!! There will be tough times, there…
  • Agree with everyone. Mine are much smaller after losing 107 lbs (so far) but genetics do play a considerable role. Yes, investing in a good sports bra is a must. I, personally, would probably wait with reduction surgery and see how you go after reaching goal. If I could afford it I'd opt for a lift :\
  • Nope, *when* you eat does not make a difference and it's purely a personal preference. Calories in < calories out is all that matters. I have a very "unusual" eating pattern, don't eat anything until late in the day and then keep eating until I go to bed because that is when I get hungry no matter how much (or little) I…
  • Since the Easter weekend here is 4 days (well, 3, if you don't include Saturday), starting Good Friday through to Easter Monday inclusive, I've gone to roughly maintenance for about a week (until left-over Easter yummies are gone) :drinker: ... so far so good

  • I'm in Australia as well and here it's a looong weekend (the longest of the year, in fact), starting with Good Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and in some states even still a bank holiday on Tueday. I'm not expecting to receive chocolate but I bought myself some Easter Bunny pralines (YUMM!) and hot cross buns, being…
  • ^^^ This I weigh daily and record it in a separate simple app. That way I get a graph which helps me to see and note patterns but I only log on MFP weekly.
  • I've had my FitBit One since last July and I have no idea how I could live without it anymore! LOL. I just LOVE it!! I log my food/drinks/water in MFP and manually log non-step based exercises in FitBit (I feel that MFP overestimates the calories burned while FitBit is more accurate) and have them sync, of course. I use…
  • Thank you once again, everyone :smooched: It's such an amazing feeling and honour, and so rewarding, to be able to inspire others now the way I was inspired by the success stories of others when I began this journey!!
  • ^^^^ This. And yes, stalling happens for a number of reasons. Weightloss is not linear, it will always vary. I've just had 2 to 3 weeks of barely any loss at all and just this week the scales are dropping daily (I weigh daily because I want to keep an eye on water retention for other reasons but I only log here weekly). It…
  • Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! What a transformation!!!! You look Amazing!!! Congratulations :flowerforyou:
  • Walking is my main exercise (as well as some fitball yoga, resistance training or Tai Chi at home) ... I have a permanent ankle injury as well as a cranky back so high impact is out for me anyway It's great, it works, and it's easy on the joints. In case you're wondering, my ticker and profile pic show it all (I started…
  • Well done!! And yes, walking is great exercise, no matter what anyone says!
  • WOW WOW WOW!!! What a response!!! Thank you so very much, everyone!!! :flowerforyou:
