Thank you all for the replies. Unfortunately, both a therapist and a nutritionist are well outside of my means currently, but I am being very honest with the people in my home so at least there is accountability. I had a bit of a scare when I realized I gained about 5 lbs back, and then went three days without eating,…

I second the cell phone alarms, very helpful.

I have Borderline, and when I went on Mirtazapine, I gained about 20lbs, and it also triggered my ED. The best advice I can give is to consult w your doctor to find a medication that helps, but does NOT cause weight gain. There are dozens of different meds you can try, so don't feel like you are stuck with this one <3

Hydroxycut works wonders (I lost 26 lbs in a month, no lie) but it is obviously quite unhealthy & has pretty rough side effects - insomnia, uncontrollable shaking, anger, & a worsening ulcer were my personal experiences. I don't recommend it, personally. But if that one works, there must be other things out there that…

Personally I can gain as much as 10 lbs during ToM & then be back to normal by the 2nd-3rd day afterwards. I have stopped weighing myself around that time just to be safe haha.

You look fantastic! And more importantly, it sounds like you FEEL fantastic. You've worked hard & deserve to enjoy the results. It is cliche, but you cannot please everyone, so make sure you go to bed happy with yourself & everyone else can just eff right off. Keep rocking it! :)

Keep in mind that some people NEED medication, whether everyone else thinks so or not. However, there ARE mood-stabilizers that do not increase weight or some that even help you lose weight (such as Wellbutrin). The important thing is to keep asking to be put on the proper meds. And if a doctor brushes you off, brush them…

We teach toddlers not to throw temper tantrums when they don't feel well/are in a bad mood, but yet most women seem to think our periods are an all-access pass to be total jerks. As a female, I think that is BS. Have some self-control & dignity. We don't want men to think we're slaves to our hormonal mood-swings, but then…

I'd love to hear more about the 30-day detox you did. I'm desperate to get past this binging & would definitely try anything that might help. In general, I also view the addiction to overeating in the same light as an alcohol or drug addiction. My partner has been a struggling alcoholic for 25 years, & has frequent…

Basically, those are people who are incredibly bored.

Whedon being back on TV makes me happier than I can describe.

Liar, Liar.

Bettering yourself on the outside doesn't mean *kitten* if you're that ugly inside. Work on bettering yourself inside.

Riiight... so the person who goes home & masturbates thinking about their "totally platonic friend" who they aren't actually having sex with is just a platonic friend?? Sure.
-
Platonic: of, relating to, or being a relationship marked by the absence of romance or sex. Everyone saying they are platonic friends with people they are sexually attracted to is kind of missing the point. Once one of you wants to bang the other, it's no longer platonic.

EXACTLY!

Holy crap. I have several food allergies & I would NEVER expect a bride to p*ssy-foot around MY needs on HER wedding budget. I know what I can & cannot eat. There is ALWAYS a side dish that is edible. I eat what I can & leave the rest in group settings. My medical needs are my responsibility. It would be different if…

@InnerFatGirl, you are my Hound Hero =)

So if a man kills a baby, do you stop trusting all males? Or if a baby dies in a car accident, do you never put a child in another car?

There is NO "mean breed" or "safe breed". There are poorly trained/poorly raised/abused dogs of all breeds who can turn vicious when cornered or provoked. I've worked in three veterinary clinics & I've been bit by several small "friendly" dogs, but never even growled at by the larger dogs. I'm not saying large dogs cannot…

I love how people want to do the "science works exactly the same for everybody" argument. Right. That's why there is only one anti-depressant necessary for everyone, one form of chemo for everybody, one antibiotic for everybody, etc... Because we all respond exactly the same to these things. *eyeroll* The fact is that if…

I've lost (and kept off) over 40 lbs doing 1200-1300 calories for the past 2 years.

Men SAY they don't care... but then they pass over the girls who don't take that time/spend that money for the ones who do. Keep fibbing, we know you're shallow ;) That being said, I've never dressed to impress anyone but myself & I pay for all of it myself. I like that my partner appreciates it, but I wouldn't do it if I…

...It's pizza. Duh. Also, nobody needs to eat a medium. You have a couple of slices when you want to indulge & make good choices the rest of the day.

Not everyone. Some of us do genuinely fall for people, not their bodies/looks. Not one of my partners has looked like any of the others. Tall, short, thin, thick, dark, light, male, female. It's 100% about personality for me. If you are a sexy human being, your looks automatically become appealing to me, regardless of what…

This. Hardcore this.

The amount of super shallow comments being cloaked in the guise of self-respect is depressing. "I don't want to bang a fatty, but I'm going to say I really want someone who respects themselves enough to stay fit." Please. At least admit to being superficial. Love, actual deep, lasting love, is not based on looks at all. No…

I've lost about 45 lbs & kept it off for two years. I'm slowly working on about 130 more!
