I agree with others, 1000 calories isn't a crazy binge :) especially when you think about what you probably ate before you started journaling...keep your head up, you are doing fabulous :)

Thanks for sharing! Great advice :)

Sounds yummy :) can't wait to try!

sooo, you can still lose weight eating all of your calories in a short amount of time?? I am really never that hungry throughout the day and eat just because I am supposed to, get my metabolism going etc...is this false? Really love to hear more :)

use the leanest sirloin you can find (96/4) and use reduced fat cream cheese/shredded cheese and it shouldn't be too high, sounds yummy :)

Praying for a safe return {{hugs}}

Congrats on knowing that you want to lose the healthy way :) by looking at your pic, I think you look great! I do see a nutritionist and she says that there is a weight that you body gets comfortable with and it is hard to break past it. Do you workout with weights? That may help you get the results that you are looking for

I feel like I am in that same boat weekly lol! I just weighed in this morning and have gained 2 lbs since Sat...how is that even possible?? Feel free to add me as a friend for support!

I have been logging my avocado as 50 calories per ounce...it was one of the first ones that popped up on mfp that was measuring ounces. Does that sound right?

I keep a 9X13 cake pan full of cut fresh feggies (carrots, cucumbers, mushrooms, sugar snap peas, tomatoes etc..) and take it out of the fridge at every meal just to get in a few extra veggies, it keeps me from snacking on whatever it is that I am cooking as well. A couple of my favorite veggie recipes though: take a…

with that height and weight you are in the healthy weight range according to the bmi calculator. You may want to focus on toning/weights if you are unhappy with certain areas. Good luck :)

LMAO!!! I would have totally eaten the birthday cake!!

I do get on the scale most days...I am up about 3 lbs. I know I just need to get back into tracking food, but it easier said than done! Heading the grocery store to get stocked up on my healthy foods for the week :)
-
look into the south beach diet...only low carb for the first couple of weeks. Your body needs healthy carbs!!!
-
that's a lot to lose in such a short time...especially looking at your profile pic, you don't really look like you have any weight to lose! I would try upping your protein and staying away from refined carbs...don't forget to eat your exercise calories Good luck!

my nutrition coach says sodium is a huge part and to stay under 2000mg daily...soups are so full of sodium I try to stay away from them but I know what you mean about needing easy meal ideas! The healthy choice or healthy request soups are supposed to be lower in sodium...

I have found GI diet books at the library :)
-
check out your public library, mine lends workout dvd's...keeps you going without spending $ :)
-
maybe a whole wheat bagel thin with cream cheese string cheese and fruit oatmeal is always a good choice :)

It won't hurt to give it a try! Up your calories for the next 2 weeks and see if you see any difference. One of mfpals did this because she hit a plateau and sure enough, it worked...I can't really fathom the idea either, eating more can help you lose weight, but people prove that on here every day! Good luck to you!

It is sooo easy to say that you are going to eat right and exercise daily...but then you get hungry and it is sooo easy to grab something unhealthy! I am really struggling too right now, so I feel your pain! Just stick with it and don't give up...take it one meal at a time! I think it helps to have friends on here, knowing…

Story of my life right now! I had a bit of a sugar attack today :( I did manage to stay in my calories, but the food choices were not good ones. I am trying to take it one meal at a time for now and asking myself if what I am about to eat will help or hinder my weight loss efforts...Obviously I forgot to ask myself that…

You might want to consider upping your calories to 1300 or 1400...I personally think 1200 is the absolute bare minimum amount of calories that you should have in a day. Zig-Zagging may help also, especially when you have something special and you know you are going to go over your calories :)

Monday was rough for me, my husband and I went out for our anniversary :) so not the best of food choices for dinner. Tuesday was good though and got a good walk in at the gym! Have a great day!!!!

people kill me! I only read the half that you posted, but it is not surprising that a high fat diet can do that!
-
I am with you on the salad thing...I love them, but I love dressing and all of the yummy stuff you can put on them and before you know it my salad is 1000 calories, yikes! A lot of days for lunch I take 1/2 of a whole wheat pita and add 1 ounce of provolone cheese and 2 ounces of deli ham and stick it in the microwave for…

Would love to get into a challenge, I haven't done one before. Hopefully it is what I need to get back on track :) How exactly does it work? Do we just post here? Thanks for starting !!!!!

You look amazing! Congrats on your new healthy lifestyle :) you are very inspiring, so glad to have you as a mfp friend!!

I looked at your diary and I have 2 suggestions. First I think you need to up your calories a bit, especially when you exercise. I would think minimum 1350 without exercise. Some people on here have had great success with zig zagging too, that may help. The other is sodium, try and stay under 2000 a day. Congrats on your…
