Hi all! I'm a big time lurker in this group. (Sorry) But something Yooly said brought me out of my lurkiness. You freeze your cookie dough???? Does that work well??? That could be a game changer for me. It wears me out every year, but I hate to make cookies too far in advance, for freshness's sake. I'm 60 years old, and itโฆ

I love the way he put his comment. Sometimes you need to be careful commenting on someone's weight, but telling them that they look healthy? Awesome compliment!

Love this post! Thanks so much for sharing!

I was debating if I was going to put this out there. Thanks for posting it!!

This is such good advice!! I started drinking coffee at my summer job in high school. It was an early shift at a food counter. I stayed up too late always, and then needed something to get going in the morning. I started out with cream and sugar, then tapered down to just cream, then less cream and then finally to black.โฆ

This is so good to see! Sometimes, we try so hard and make it so complicated, but look at your success with making simple, but so effective, steps!

That sounds so good!!!

This is so interesting to me. I am right now working to get back on track after a pretty hefty slide. For me, it was an injury that kept me from doing the workouts I wanted to do. I had to take it easy, so for some reason, I also took it easy on tracking food. Then the bad habits start, with trigger foods making it backโฆ

Black coffee only, but I like a lighter roast, like breakfast blend.

This makes me laugh because I live way out, too. You get used to long drives and it isn't that big of a deal! It keeps me from going out to eat, though. Anyway, my gym is near where I work, so that helps, but if I were you, give it a try! I think that it is important for kids to get familiar with working out and keepingโฆ

This!! So well said. I think that if you let yourself get too comfortable and you don't stay disciplined, you can easily slip back into bad habits. I know this all too well from personal experience!!!

I loved this flavor!

I agree!! They are not good! I ordered the variety pack, so I keep thinking that one of the flavors would be good, but they are so dry and the texture is awful.
-
I agree! Loved it!

My son was just sworn in this morning as a sheriff's deputy, and he'll be working at the county jail. So, I saw your post and wanted to say hi! Those duty belts are not made for comfort, I'm sure!! Congrats on your weight loss!

Interesting! I wouldn't have thought of reading Orange is the New Black, but now I think I need to!! I appreciate the suggestion.

Thank you for your replies! I'll check these out!!

I just wanted to say that I love this thread! Thank you for all the contributors!!! I never see anything before anyone else, but I love looking here to see what's out there!

As I was reading through this I saw a few people mention kale, but no one had mentioned quinoa. You picked the two that I wanted to add, so I am saying ditto to your post!!! A big fat nope to both!!

About 3 pounds over Christmas, but probably more like 5 over November and December. I am going to do better in 2019 than I did in 2018. Getting back to what worked before....

You should be proud!! Good for you!

I'd love to go for 10! Hoping for at least 7.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm from Colorado and I couldn't think of anything really unique and "local", but yes, green chili smothered burrito!!!

I love it when an MFP post takes an unexpected turn!

Add me to the "I love morning workouts!" people! So much more energy throughout the day when you start with a good workout!

Just a thought. If you have a college/university nearby, they sometimes allow people in the community to use their gym facilities. The one in my town has a punch card, so you just pay for when you go. I know they have classes, too.

Country folk can survive! Ha!

I go early too, and I have the same giant bag and carry my work clothes on their hangers. There isn't much you can do, but I do use small 3 oz bottles for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Then I refill on the weekends. To me, it is worth the effort of lugging in the bag, so that I can get my workout done in theโฆ
