I think that the padded shorts/pants will help, but I've actually never used them. It does take a while, but it gets better. I've been doing spin classes 3 days a week for over a year and it doesn't bother me much anymore unless we do a lot of high rpm's... which means not much time out of the saddle.

I used C25K starting in January and ran a 5K in April. Just by reading that, I could just hear her voice. I remember sometimes when running in that program, I would check my phone because I figured I paused it somehow. There was no way I hadn't already run the 3 minutes!!

That sounds like a really interesting spin class! I've never heard of it. I do spin 3 times a week. I actually like being next to the young'uns because it does push me to do better.

I did go for a run! A little less than usual because I didn't have as much time, but went 2.5 miles. It was a good one!

I love them and think they are a great help to me. They really fill me up. I wasn't happy with the cost, but then I did a comparison of protein, calories, carbs, etc. The Quest bars are so superior on protein, I will pay the extra. There are four flavors that I like, but the others are awful, in my opinion!

Good goals for everyone! It helps to share because it gives me ideas and focus for my own goals. Today, I already went to my spin class this morning. Now I need to find a healthy lunch, since I ran out of time to pack one. And then, after work, I'll be going to the gym to run.

Working on my attitude today. I haven't been feeling it at all this week, for some reason. I've made it to my workouts, but just not focused. So, need to up my energy and focus for the remainder of the week. Or take a nap. :smile:

Aww! They're so cute!! What a great way to look at the benefits of losing weight! I'm not to the grandchild stage yet. It wouldn't be a great thing right now with my son still in college and my daughter living at home yet. :smile:

Made it through last night without getting my treats/snacks while washing dishes. So one little victory! I want to do the same tonight. Maybe tonight I can be disciplined without feeling temptation the entire time.

I tucked in my shirt today, and it actually looks better than untucked!! It feels kind of strange to have it tucked in, but I've received compliments on it, so tucked it shall stay!

I like the main forums most of the time, too. I would not ask a question over there, but I have to chuckle sometimes at the comments. I do think that some people get overly offended when they receive truthful comments that are maybe blunt and to the point. If you don't want to get varying responses, don't ask the question!

We went fishing over the weekend and took the truck with just the crew cab. My son is a large guy, 6'2" and 290 lbs (defensive lineman), so I offered to sit in the back. I was able to do it comfortably!! Couldn't do that 78 pounds ago. Also, he was behind me as I was getting in, so that he could give me a push if I needed…

I'm going to try to get my running speed up, so that my minutes per mile goes down by one. Kind of embarrassed at how slow I am, so I'll save that number in my head for now...

I'd have to agree that it doesn't totally go away. You shouldn't be overly sore and in a lot of pain, but some soreness is good. Even the further you get into it and more fit, you just keep pushing to do more!
