Diarrhea is not uncommon to WLS about 1 in 10 people have had it. The pepto didn't cause any harm the concerns are that it has aspirin in it and could lead to bleeding. I would recommend fiber. The problem with fiber is that it is bulky and can cause full feelings, so start with a small amount and wait and see if it helps.…

Well I'm closer to Mexico than you were then, I'm in Oregon

I never ate breakfast before surgery. Now I have 2 free range eggs and 1 slice of toast with preserves.

Great news

You look great
-
Good news and have a great day

I was the same as you when I asked the same question. The answer was if I could get enough protein from food sources that would be better. I asked about vegetables and fruits, that answer was if I had my protein needs done go ahead and have them. At over 6 months out the story is the same with calories at 1000. Randy

Wow you look fantastic great job
-
You got it, prayers are on the way

I'm just over 6 months out and 4-6 oz is it and for the last 2 months the amount hasn't changed. I don't think that it will change more, I'm still asking for a box at restaurants for the other half. Randy

Your doing fantastic and you must live close enough to Mexico to make the trip

Jess I totally agree with you and could not have said it better. I also believe that the exercise will build muscle mass and muscles are heavier than fat. That said I think we're exchanging one for the other and the scale is not reflecting the difference. The advantage of adding muscle mass is that they burn calories. The…

It certainly is a good idea Randy RN

Don't let your appearance intimate you, start living the new lifestyle today. Your body will catch up later. Randy

Great job and best wishes for your surgery

The power of the brain is very powerful and can do some amazing things, in medicine studies for example. People that participate don't all get the same pill, but due to placebo effect some of the people who didn't get the medicine being tested had the same reactions as people who did get the new drug. So yes making…

What is your activity level? Muscle mass will consume more calories so exercise can help make the difference. WLS is only a good start we have to finish it by changing our lifestyle and eating habits. People that eat 3000 calories a day and stay thin are doing something to use the calories, metabolism is part of it the…

No a elevated white count is a blood test for your immune system response to a infection. The liver is a cleaning system and elevated enzymes indicate something wrong. Randy RN

Yes eating late in the evening when I'm tired is my biggest problem, I get this insatiable appetite. I could just eat anything handy. I've tried water and it helps until I get to bed and have to get up over and over for the bathroom. Randy

Hair loss is common with rapid weight loss, Hair is mostly protein. Your body is taking the protein from your hair to use elsewhere, the same is true for muscles.

Yes it is my ham call are you on the air much?

You are looking good

There are several variables involved with liver enzymes. I don't know what other labs the Dr did? We don't know what medications you take. Just to name a few things. So none of us can answer your question. Randy RN

Ok what surgery did you have? How long ago? What is your activity level sedentary, moderately active, very active? How much weight loss are you looking for? Take your current weight and multiply it by 0.3 the results are your protein needs. MFP has calculation for protein, carbohydrates, cholesterol (fats) set your protein…

Welcome back we are here to help each other

Increase protein to your body weight times 0.3 per day. Then use MFP calculation to find out carbohydrates and fats. Next increase your activity with simple little things, like not parking your car at the closest spot, park and walk. Take stairs to go up one level and down two floors. Then start with 30 minutes of cardio.…

I'm 6 months postoperative include me too

This is a known issue to your Dr so that is where you will get the best solution. There is a sub lingual glucose (under the toung) that is not swallowed. So be assured that you will have a good outcome. The blood pressure is also low are you getting 48 - 64 oz of water? Randy RN

I can't drink any carbonated drinks at all, the fizz makes me feel too full instantly. Randy
