Try a better grocery store-- seriously. Try places that focus on the healthier side of food, like "Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Wegman's, etc." Look up stores like that near you. They will have a better selection of food..I know Wal-Mart sucks with considering healthy (no sodium, organic, etc) food.

If you ate that amount, you wouldn't lose permanent weight. You'd gain it back quicker than you lost it. It's unhealthy for that small of an amount; your body would go into starvation mode and hang on to the fat it has.

The TDEE formulas online are inaccurate (I figured they were)-- I found out once I got the Body Media armband; I'm not promoting it, but I love that thing. It has helped me out tons. You can sync MFP with the Body Media band and it does all the calculations for you...I know several people that have it and it has worked for…

Exercise will definitely help with the slow metabolism. No excuses for not exercising if you truly want to lose weight. "Your desire to change must be greater than your desire to stay the same." You can do it! Let go of the mental blocks

Thanks for the feedback!!

When I was a kid I had exercise induced asthma too...I don't think I have it anymore though
-
Thank you for all of your responses. Seems like it's normal and it is just the body's response to that kind of activity
-
I'm well hydrated- I drink a good amount of water
-
No allergies, it happens when I'm doing any kind of intense physical activity.

But, you have progressed. Hasn't exercising become easier? Tasks are easier to do? You're still going forward towards your goal! If you only do cardio, add in weight training. If you already do weights-- try high intensity interval training for cardio...that's great for fat burn and muscular endurance/strength.

Whenever I gain weight, my mom always says "WOW, you sure are gaining weight" (mostly in my younger years when I was bigger). To this day, I always insist on her not getting me clothes because she always says, "what size should I get you? XL? 12 jeans." Even when I was in shape she'd say this.

Just a minor set back! Look how far you've already come...continuing on after a little splurging is easy breezy.

I use almond milk as well. Yes, soy is bad for you; it's mucus causing (mucus in your intestines--not the "snot") and a laundry list of other bad things. Also, you can try goat milk-- the majority of the world chooses this milk to drink. I use butter, yogurt, and cheese all from goat milk-- it doesn't mess with my stomach…

Could it be diet-- like not eating enough?

I just ordered mine today...I hope it's everything that people say it's cracked up to be! It will be nice to have an accurate caloric intake/burn instead of using the estimations of exercise machines. Best of luck with it!

I've always heard squats and lunges work those areas (I would use dumbbells when doing the squats and lunges). Your muscular definition is great!

This might be a weird question...but do you walk with your heel striking the ground? Try walking on the treadmill, that's slightly lower impact.

Totally Agree with JenMC

You definitely should eat more; you can actually stall weight loss if you eat too little. Also, what Ms. Valerie said, mix up your routine. Distance isn't best for weight loss, High Intensity Interval training is. For instance, sprint 30 seconds/walk or slow jog for 60 seconds OR sprint 60 seconds/ slow jog for 120…

Spaghetti with meat sauce is pretty heavy. It would be best to eat light after you work out that hard...i.e. protein shake and fruit. Once you've rested for a little bit, then it would probably be ok to eat something heavier. Hopefully this advice helps!

Way to go!!!!!

elliptical- low impact

The biggest thing I struggle with as a dieter is celebrating an event or going out on the weekends because usually people want to go out to eat. I tend to eat healthier if I make my own meals
