Peel? A mango? You're doing it wrong. Cube it. http://www.wikihow.com/Eat-a-Mango

HAH! That means that those of us who did have a massive head start!

Don't buy so many, and eat them. I buy them 5-6 at a time, on the yellow end of green. I'm fine with them a bit green, or all the way brown, and I eat them. The only reason organic bananas might seem to last longer (other than confirmation bias) is that they're shipped green (just like normal bananas) but might be…

I re-edited my post with some rough numbers (I assumed you're 6' tall... ) Read the initial post "In Place Of A Road Map" - it sets out a lot of the "rules" of lifestyle change pretty well :) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/912920-in-place-of-a-road-map-3-2013 I wouldn't say you need to avoid any particular food…

I believe that you're going to be told you need to eat WAY more by the next 100 comments. I guessed that you're 6' tall, and put your numbers into Scooby's calculator, and it says that your BMR is ~2350. That's the number of calories you'd need to keep your organs functioning if you were in a coma. To maintain your weight,…

Cut it in half, then cut each half into 5 pieces... should be easy to eyeball. Any other tough questions like "what is 1/2 a serving of 4oz?"

More to the idea of cooking with the rice cooker... perhaps Roger had a recipe for this... http://www.amazon.ca/books/dp/0740791427

One of the things I've found annoying on some of the LIFT HEAVY, DUDE! threads is when people chime in to say "I don't do any cardio, just bench, deadlifts, rows and squats" as if that's something to be proud of... focusing simply on muscle and fat but otherwise ignoring heart and lungs? Seems short sighted. I appreciate…

Not to mention that deodorant is basically a heat activated perfume... so, is it "No Perfume" or "Yes Deodorant" for these people?

In defense of the people with their hands on the bar... I'm a huge klutz when walking on level, non-moving ground, I often hang on with one hand there just to keep in mind where the edge is because veering to the side a bit could be more than a little embarrassing.

Ah, I followed the newspaper technique of inventing a headline to grab attention...

 You're never eaten Japanese food, I take it. Like mayo?

There are a couple potentially interesting courses starting up in July. Added a thread for those: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1028061-a-couple-other-free-courses-july-start

Please, DO go to the forums and feel free to contradict and down vote the crazy people posting links to Natural News :)

Nice catch! Enrolled in that one too. https://www.coursera.org/course/nutritionforhealth

I've looked through the forums, and there are some seriously non-evidence-based people setting up shop there... Hopefully that drops off a bit. I'm here; https://www.coursera.org/user/i/e16f3cdc191c7b73f64e52713cb0f143

Especially when you consider that EVERYTHING is a chemical. Yes, even that organic non-GMO baby carrot that you watered with your tears...

Also remember... Europe has recently had some pretty loose rules around what's considered "beef" in food products... It's not some blissful food utopia.

Define "real food" - does that include food items that are natural, but poisonous until cooked, or processed in some way?
-
Same here - often along with an apple or banana as a breakfast replacement with decent macros. Really just about the convenient protein, and the not horribly high calorie count at 270.

I did consider buying my new size of jeans AND the next size down, mostly because there was a sale on, but I figured I'd just wait until the current pair of jeans started to get loose... but I am starting to buy t-shirts from places like teemagnet.com and such in a goal size ;)

You meant ex-boyfriend, right?

You just have to pre-buy 30 Big Macs a week to sell to your downline, and how hard is that - everyone LOVES Big Macs!

Finding some interesting things out there, countering claims... http://advocaretruth.blog.com/ This older post has some interesting points http://advocaretruth.blog.com/2011/06/22/advocare/

Avoid much? This should be a pretty simple question. I have been posting on a lot of threads, and you're not my type, anyway. So... can you tell us what this junk is? Thanks.

BMR is not unimportant. Plenty of people run into problems because they're netting out substantially below their BMR when trying to lose weight. Think of all the threads here from people with a 1200 calorie intake, plus 600+ daily burns...

Cars crash. Pianos fall on people. Trees fall, knock out electrical line and burn people alive. Planes fall out of the sky. People get hit by lightning. There - some more reasons to not go outside, that don't care about what you're packing.

A lot of those can be done pretty much under cover... but this one... I'm picturing Rocky at the top of the stairs after his run... Though, on the subject of stairs; start using them. I work on the 9th floor of a 30 floor building. I can't get access to climb up to the 9th floor from the lobby in the morning, but I do take…
