A combination of pretty much all these things helped me. Daily goals, weekly, etc. New clothing size, monthly progress pics hung on the inside of my closet, and tracking weight. The Withings Scale has helped me greatly!

I have a once a month cheat day. I don't count anything, and eat whatever looks good. After some time, I've naturaly started cutting back on the junk. About 6 months for the running. I will cut way back on that when I start to bulk.

Tips: Eat less than you burn, and lift heavy along with cardio. I run 6 days per week, sometimes 7, and lift heavy and hard 4 days per week. I do my workouts before eating in the morning. Lots of protien, less carbs. That's it really! Edit: When I started running, I couldn't run past .2 of a mile. I now do about 6 miles in…

I felt the same way when I started. Try to push yourself, and find what works. Don't overdo it! If you need to walk, then walk. Just aim to get a tiny bit better each run. Distance over speed.
