As others have said, the jealousy/controlling behavior is a no go and it sounds like you aren’t happy and can do better. Life is too short to waste time with the wrong partner. Find someone else or be happy single for a while. It’s fine to support the person as a friend, but there needs to be a high bar to qualify someone…

I hope my fellow Houstonians/Texans are safe and dry! I live in Sugar Land, a Houston suburb, and am near the Brazos River in a master planned community that is protected by levees. Last year, the river reached record levels and the levees worked, but we are expecting the river to be even higher before this is over! Other…

I actually didn't say that there would come a time when it "just won't cut it." I've encountered people using the food as part of a maintenance plan. Now, to get back to the OP's original question, "Interesting in joining me on the NutriSystem plan?" I hope she returns and shares how things are going.

I prefer not to discuss it with anyone, other than my husband and very close family and friends, because I've had many instances of regaining weight.

^ what earlnabby said.... Managing healthy eating and weight is a life long effort for many of us. There is a thought process that says if you can't do something forever, it's wrong or not worth doing. The truth is, I don't want to speak for others, but most people change and have times when they struggle more and when…

Hello Thinmed, My husband and I have been using the NutriSystem food for five weeks and find it to be a convenient way to control portion sizes. We track on MyFitnessPal rather than the Numi app because it's a little easier to scan the bar codes. We supplement with vegetable dishes and other healthy options to stay within…

I've been eating the NutriSystem food for 5 weeks! Most of the food is pretty good. I ordered the 30 pack of milk chocolate pretzels. Wish there were more in a bag, but that's why I'm doing it! Portion control

My husband and I have been using the NutriSystem food for 2 weeks. It's helpful for portion control. We are tracking with MyFitnessPal and I'm using their NuMi app as well. So far, we've each lost around 5lbs. I'd be happy to connect with others doing this or something similar. Feel free to add me.

I think they're pretty good with a spoon or two of peanut butter.

I'm going on a cruise in December and hope to lose 2 lbs/week up until then, but I plan to enjoy myself while on the cruise. Hopefully with some activity, you won't gain any, but if you do, just get back on the wagon we you get home. Good luck!

I can relate. I don't like comments and especially when people talk about being "good" or being "bad." Drives me nuts!
-
I understand why most people enjoy hearing compliments on their weight loss and understandably so as it takes work and dedication to achieve it. For me, only because I have lost and regained weight multiple times, I'm more comfortable not receiving compliments, or comments, because I don't want my weight to be an issue any…

Just an idea, I buy the Centrum flavor burst vitamins. I call them "my skittles" as they taste just like skittles. A daily dose is four. If you buy these you are getting vitamins and enjoying the candy taste, but won't be tempted to over dose because that would be dangerous. They have two types of flavors.

I can relate to your situation having lost a significant amount of weight only to get complacent, slip and regain the weight and to repeat this multiple times. I know the embarrassment and shame of feeling like a failure in this area of life, all the while being successful in many other areas. And, the struggle and failure…

I've taken a lot of different Zumba classes with different instructors and they varies how "dance-y" they are based on the instructor. I have a dance background, but I really prefer the ones that are easier to follow because you are actually doing the steps and burning calories rather than spending a lot of time trying to…

Congrats on the weight loss! You look great!

That's so true. Just getting started is the hardest part, as I sit on the couch contemplating exercising. Thanks for posting....the rewards of hard work and dedication, oh how sweet!

On my 91st day, I worked until 12:30 am and didn't log in otherwise, I'd be at 135 days instead of 45. It's not too long, but stinks having to start over. Congrats to all of you who have been logging for many days!

Congratulations on your success and determination to change your life! You are most definitely an example to the children that you teach and I'm sure you are helping lots of people who see your hard work. And, it's so sweet that you are so close to your father and walk with him. My father had a stroke at 59, as a result of…

I do the same thing...lose weight and look pretty good and then fall back into bad habits little by little and then get frustrated and it just gets worse. I believe that it is possible to succeed long term and I'm going to keep trying until I do. Join me!

I use the unsweetened kind in protein shakes that have some sweetener in them and it's pretty good. I like Almond Breeze over Silk for almond milk. As many have said, the sweetened vanilla Almond Breeze taste good to most to drink straight, but it's a matter of preference. I don't use cow's milk anymore, mainly because I…

From what I've seen compared to my heart rate monitors, the calories that show-up here are way too high. Like 300-400 too high for an hours worth of exercise, so eat back with caution if you go by their calories.

Hi there, my daily goal is 1230 calories, but initially was 1200 and I was losing weight sticking to it. I've been working out a lot over the past week or so and although my eating has not been perfect, I'm up about 3 pounds from my lower point in late June. My plan is just to stick with it and over the long run will get…

Congratulations on your success! I can relate to the ups and downs in weight, but we never give up and it pays off. Congrats on finding a good guy also. Finding a wonderful person to share your life with is a true blessing!

Yes, kick it into gear this week and then you can enjoy yourself more next week! We can do this!!

I can only imagine how scary this is to experience first hand. On the bright side, you are young and strong and although I don't know you, I believe you will conquer this. Sending prayers for a full recovery.

I felt the same way when I started. This isn't the most scientific advice, but has worked pretty well for me so far. I just try to stay within the total calorie goal for the day and try to eat healthy foods, but I'm not perfect as far as the macros, but it's hasn't been a huge problem. I just started incorporating…

I'm 43 and have lost about 30 since last fall, and about 21 since being on MFP. It's a useful tool! Will send a friend request.

Welcome to MFP! I'm up for some new pals to support and encourage. Will send a friend request!

You can do it! Just keep at it and don't give up. You are worth it! Find exercises and reasonably healthy foods that you enjoy and enjoy them regularly. Feel free to add me if you'd like.
