Lemon pepper and dill are both good.

Just goes to show, mobility is life. Awesome.

Oh an as Karincakes mentioned, a "clean" is really only to your chest. Using momentum to get the weight overhead would be a "jerk". But again, that would be for more weight than you would want to try to lower behind your head.
-
Not sure why this would be. The barbell should be easier to stabilize than the dumbbells. Unless you are not including the weight of the bar. If you're using an Olympic bar with 25lbs of plates on it, you're really lifting 70lbs. Even a solid standard bar is around 15 pounds. And the collars can add a couple pounds too.
-
A rack is probably the best safest idea if you can't lift the weight over yet. If the barbell is heavy enough to where you can't press it and have to clean it, it might also be too heavy for you to lower behind your head in a controlled way or press back up when you are done. If you don't have access to a rack (or…

In his recent emails he has mentioned having an Android app out later in the year. Something about polishing up the iPhone app and then hiring some Android developers to port it over. I'm anxiously awaiting it too.

It's OK. I wasn't in any danger of winning that one either!

Can't post a photo from where I'm at, but I have an antique airplane. Almost identical to this one: http://www.maag.us/images/range.jpg

Now that we've got that sorted out, should I eat back my exercise calories or not?

It will only work if the spray tastes like fecal matter and you spray it on all your food before you eat it.

If you have an Android phone, there is actually a push-up app that will test you on day 1, then tailor daily sets of push-ups to get you to your goal of 50 or 100 at once.

It's a blast and totally worthwhile. I have also done Tough Mudder and Rugged Maniac. Tough Mudder will challenge any of them. Running is running, but 10-foot walls and swimming in ice are something else altogether.

My wife has broken a few of my things, and my son has broken a couple things, but nobody in the house can compete with my dog. He's 113 lbs and his name is Scooby, but I should have named him Destructor.

It's a nice change of pace to be asked out. Very flattering. I don't know any guys who would mind it.

What? We old guys can't compliment the ladies anymore? Damn. It really is all downhill from here. :P

Biking is great. Get the best one you can afford and make sure it fits or you won't enjoy it as much. Try a bike shop over a department store. You'll be getting helped by people who are actually bicyclists, and often time even experienced triathletes and such. You said the walking doesn't even register now. Have you…

OK maybe the guy is a gluttonous slob, but if it's "all you can eat" then it better damn well be all you can eat. I'm sure there are plenty of people who only get one or two pieces of fish that don't demand a partial refund for not eating much. So the restaurant needs to suck it up and keep the fish coming until the guy…

Braunschweiger!

Don't rule out those 30+ ones! You won't regret it! ;)

I just saw the trailer for that the first time today. I think Hollywood has lost its imagination. All that comes out lately is remakes. I can maybe see remaking a pretty old movie where modern special effects and whatnot would make it interesting, but remaking movies like "True Grit" and "Karate Kid" which are pretty much…

MFP already calculates and includes a daily Calorie deficit based on the weekly rate of weight loss you specified. If you exercise and don't eat those Calories back, you are going into a larger Calorie deficit than planned which may or may not be providing you with the intake you need.

When I make a baby spinach salad, I use aged balsamic vinegar and olive oil. High in Cals, but healthy. With regular iceberg lettuce or a lettuce mix, I like Kraft Light Catalina. 50 Cals per 2 tbsp. If I want a Caesar salad, it's Ken's Steakhouse Lite Creamy Caesar. 70 Cals per 2 tbsp.

I would bring "The Crovel" http://www.crovelfoldingshovel.com/

Warrior Dash was one of my motivators last year. I started training in January and ran it in April, so you should have no problem being ready in 6 months. I have since done 2 Warrior Dashes, Tough Mudder, and Rugged Maniac. And I'm signed up for similar events into next year already. I started running these at 40 and I…

Costa Rica. The only international destination that I liked so much that I went twice. And I would go again in a heartbeat.

You can go to the Phoenix zoo and stroll around Papago Park afterward. Arizona Science Center was a good idea too. Goldfield ghost town. Fountain Hills (used to be world's tallest fountain, but now it's like number 3 or 4). Tubing down the Salt River. If you want to get out of town and drive farther: Grand Canyon (pretty…

Body Glide or NipGuards?

I was having issues with IT Band Syndrome, particularly when I started running trails with lots of downhills that made me heel strike. I switched to New Balance Minimus Trail shoes (MT10) and have had no issues since. I was professionally fitted for my original shoes, which I will still run in on flat pavement, but for…
