A dental pick and a callus file. Great.

Thanks for the reply! Anyone else have any input?

I still run a couple times a week. Either the evening of a 5x5 workout or an off day. Not real far and not real fast. Usually a little over 5k at about an 8:30 to 9:00 pace. It's not for the purpose of "cardio" but because I enjoy it and it keeps me in running mode for the obstacle races that I run in. I'm not trying to be…

Are you using a power rack? If so, you can set the safety pins/bars in one of the lowest settings and just do those exercises in the rack.
-
That's always awkward an embarrassing, but it can be a good thing if it's just the smack in the *kitten* you needed to get going!

Just went for a shirtless 3.3 mile run. It's hot. It's night. No sunburn. Comfy. :)

Here's an example of Michael Phelps daily 12,000 Calorie diet from a Wall Street Journal article. Not at all uncommon for elite athletes. You aren't going to get the kind of Calories you need from a bowl of parsley, a chicken breast, and a glass of water when you're at that level.…

Haha that wasn't meant to be a bash on telemarketers (or tech support for that matter. There was a telemarketing place near where I worked and when the employees were outside before work or for smoke breaks I swear the place looked like a bus station. Pretty much all the people you can imagine whose tattoos, piercings, or…

No kidding. Read the post before bashing the poster. Not everyone is a telemarketer that can go to work stinky and disheveled.

Stronglifts 5x5 caters to the new weightlifter. www.stronglifts.com You just need access to an olympic weight set, a power rack (or spotters), and a bench.

I'm in AZ. Queen Creek to be precise! And always happy to add local friends if any of you are so inclined!

New Balance Minumus: MT10 for trail running and MR00 for road.

I love cats. Especially with Frank's Red Hot sauce. I put that *kitten* on everything!

I eat fast food nearly 4 times a week for lunch at work and I still managed to lose 30lb when I wanted to. You can make simple changes, like side salad instead of fries, omit cheese and mayo, etc to reduce the calories. It's not the healthiest food to be sure, but it's not the devil. Protein is protein. The carbs in the…

If it's what I think you mean, you can probably log it under cardio as calisthenics. It will just be an approximation anyway.
-
Same happened to me today at 105lb on the OHP. I'm taking 5 minute breaks between sets on that exercise now. I'm sure the rows are next because that last workout was rough.

That's hilarious. No mu mus either, just so you know!

I shopped Craigslist when I was looking for mine. You can often find used commercial quality equipment on there for good prices. I got a commercial Maxicam power rack for $400 that retails for $1100. It's safety bar spacing is a little farther apart than I would like, but it works out ok for me and it's made of thick steel…

A big bag of rice will last a long time. Canned tuna and salmon, especially on sale. You can heat up the canned fish and put it on a bed of rice with some lemon pepper. Fresh veggies in-season and on sale. Eggs. Any way you look at it though, $20 is gonna be a little tough for a decent week's worth of food.

Because precious metals are measured in Troy Ounces! Of course all these arguments are moot if we are in space. Then everything weighs the same and we have to start going by mass!

Cucumber slices in water is very refreshing. I never would have thought it until I ran across it at a spa in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
-
No reason to. Why not start now? Building muscle will help you metabolize fat.

Most nutritious part of the egg. Eat them.

Fantastic job! You look great!

On my next overhead press day I allowed 5 min between sets and I was able to hit 5x5 this time. So on to try 100 next time!
-
Fantastic accomplishment! Great job!

If this is a "duty" type gun, you want a full size frame in a serious caliber. Nothing smaller than 9mm or the .38 Special that you have now. A larger frame gun has more ammo capacity and a larger sight radius (distance between front and rear sights that allows for more accurate shooting). 9mm, .40 caliber, and .45 caliber…
